Walking Trails

Beautiful place. Lot's of different trails to walk. Well kept. A lake runs through it. People were canoeing in it. Wildlife on sight. Turkeys, birds and deer and other on site.

A nice place for a walk in the woods with the family. Be wary of getting too far off the trail, lest you end up with ticks and chiggers knowing on you.

Nice trail leads to the edge of Lake Springfield where we saw a great blue heron. Then toured the visitor's center that had some very nice interpretative displays and an indoor viewing area for bird watching.

Wonderful trails for children, older adults, wheelchair users with assistance and those of us that should use trails more. It is on the southeast corner and very easy to find. Be sure to bring water. No cost to use the trails.

Great place to learn about Green County's plants and animals. Easy and enjoyable to walk through the building enjoying the displays all the while learning.

Great place for a walk. You never know what type of wildlife you might see. Been there many times and we've seen not only birds, squirrels, chipmunks, etc but also deer, turkey, raccoons, as well.

Came here with my family to do some walking and found the trails to be fantastic. They're very long and the nature you get to walk through is beautiful. Very peaceful.
