I first came to Montauk with my childhood buddy and his dad in 1984, it has hardly changed! That trip started an obsession in trout fishing! Up to 15 years ago I made 3-4 trips to Montauk a year, made it to opening day for 10 years straight, that is a cluster, but worth the experience one time! My first... More

What a fun place to go trout fishing! There is also a place to stay, a very good restaurant, and a convenience store which has everything you need for fishing. Had a fun and relaxing time.

Met my fiancé there so of course it's wonderful! But seriously, there are a lot of really cool things to see and do there. Be sure to check out the Naturalist's Office and the old Mill. There are also a couple of good hiking trails. I hear the fishing is good, though I'm not an angler myself.

This is a great park for trout fishing whether you are a beginner or an expert. The park and area to fish is pretty big and stretches 5 miles inside the park and then you can fish outside the park as well. Cabins are small and basic but nice and camping area is well maintained for RVs and tents. Inside... More

We have been going to Montauk since i was a baby. Missouri State Parks has a real gem here and I hope it continues to stay that way for generations to come! Having said that, please remember to LEAVE NO TRACE! Look it up if you don't know what that means. Now that I'm older I realize how important this... More

We stayed at montauk for a night while taking a float trip. We got one of the newly renovated cabins and it was wonderful. We were able to cook our meals in the kitchen and the bathroom was very nice. Plus, we had just come from a dump of a place that we were supposed to originally stay in.
