Out of town shopping area and you find a M-60 tank and why not, only in America that's for sure, worth a walk away from the shops and a good wander around this marvellous display.

We stopped there because I am a WoT fan, so if we can see a tank than we need to stop. This tank stayed just next in the road and is a really good condition. Nice one!

Good reminder there is a base here. Some people I know who have spent time here call it "Fort Lost in the Woods"! Good reminder for those who are passing thru on Route 66.

Some people look at tanks as just a big hunk of metal when in fact they're far more. They're operated by some of the best soldiers and Marines that the country has, and many have sacrificed their time, energy and health ... and at time, their very lives. This is on Fort Leonard Wood, MO and is not the only piece of equipment on display. There's a Huey "Slick" chopper, a Vietnam era River Patrol Boat both used by Military police, and many more armored vehicles.
