They did not do anyone any favors by putting the streetcar from hades down the middle of Delmar Blvd. $52+ million and over 15 months late and the streetcar is not running. While not running it has still ruined traffic throughput and caused many of the quaint shops that made the loop, "The Loop!" I am certain that one entrapreneur... More

We parked and walked to various stores. Everywhere we went we were met with smiling, friendly faces. From food to clothes, to art.

I usually avoid driving in the loop as it is very congested and to add to take congestion they have installed a $26 million trolley car that makes a 1 1/2 mile loop to Jefferson memorial .( how many people in the loop want to go to the Jefferson memorial? So traffic will only get worse. Chuck berry who recently... More

Eclectic and interesting, this area features multicultural foods, bars and great food and people. For kids there is Fitz's rootbeer where you can see them bottling their local favorite drinks, but there are great restaurants all up and down Delmar. Highly suggest this area for people watching, eating and drinking.

Whether you are looking for a restaurant, specialty shop, or an ethnic grocery - you will find it on the loop. Tons of outside dining and a great spot to just sit back, relax and people watch. Parking is at a premium so when you find a spot grab it.

Shop at the Craft Alliance, have lunch at Blueberry Hill or Fitz's Rootbeer, see a movie at the Tivioli. There is at least a dozen good choices.

The historic St. Louis University City loop is a unique place that grabs your interest immediately with wonderful architecture, interesting shops, and delicious dining. Parking is easy and walking distances are managable. See the 140 stars on the St. Louis Walk of Fame.

The Loop is a good people watching place to visit. It's a little rough around the edges. Worth a trip if you're out of other things to do.

I'm from Saint Louis. Used to be one of the most violent places in town but they turned it into a showplace. Anywhere east on Delmar is dangerous. Well worth a visit.
