Indie films

The huge old theater has been divided into 3 theatres. Great source for independent films. Often midnight films on weekends. Film festivals. Saint Louis has a large film industry.

I have been going to The Tivoli since the late '70's and it is still my favorite movie theater. Once a single screen film house it was remodeled and re-stored into a 3 screen gem. Two smaller theaters in the front lobby and a big, spacious screen a short memorabilia filled stroll away. The main screening room is simply gorgeous,... More

A typical theater like one that a person may have visited back in the 60's. An older but great theater to take in one of their older flicks

The Tivoli is one of 2 or 3 movie houses that you can count on to run art films , first runs or films the chains don't usually run. It's got an interesting atmosphere and it's in an interesting area.

Great opportunity to view movies that might not be released on "the big screens". Didn't know BROOKLYN was going to go big, so went to the Tivoli as soon as we returned from Ireland - where the advertising was all over the city.

A small, comfy, art deco historic movie theater. The manager greets the guests before the show, and there are many old posters around to examine before you see a current show. Get the popcorn!!!!

Located in the famous Loop area of St. Louis Themis theater is historic and well preserved. Beautiful fixtures, architecture & décor. The theaters aren't as large as modern theater seating but the Tivoli is perfect for an intimate set on movie night. Not a lot of unnecessary traffic or overwhelming activity. Concessions are available.

I love the vibe of this historic theater. They show first-run movies, and I would frequent this theater over the chain theaters any day. This theater is located on the Delmar Loop, in University. There are also many cool shops and restaurants along this street (I recommend eating at "Pi").

Moved back to St Louis recently and it was good to see the Tivoli is still in business, still popular. It's an older theater that has retained it's character and shows a nice variety of movies, and movies you don't see in the mainstream theaters at times. They were one of the host locations for the International Film Festival and... More
