The Arch site is under a major renovation, but still offers access to the site. Learning about the planning, design and construction of that 630-foot arch is just spell-binding, not to mention the examination of America's westward expansion. Being able to ascend to the viewing platform is an experience that everyone should have...brave the little boxy shuttle and DO IT!... More

This is certainly one not to be missed if you are travelling through St. Louis. For the price to take the ride up to the top of the arch, it is worth it. If you are a bit claustrophobic, I would suggest you sit on the edges of the tram. You can look out the window and see the inside... More

Its a nice stop on your visit to or from the arch in the evening, plus the Horse carriage rides start just outside the park as well. overall the water fountain their is also good and you would see kids playing their and a good view of the downtown buildings as well.

Began a dreary, cold day in St. Louis by going to the arch. Overall, a pretty slick experience. Had 10:45 tran tickets. Only waited in line about 10 minutes outside for security, then no wait at all to get on a tram. The tram ride was quick and easy, not scary at all. Neat to be so high up and... More

Wonder planned renovation of 90 acre park grounds is under construction and behind schedule. Would expect work will be completed about January 2018. Arch is still open during construction.

Last time I was here I thought it was a lovely relaxing place to walk or sit and look at the Arch and the Mississippi river, this time it was a construction site and difficult to access the riverfront by car although the I did manage to find a way down. I love river walks and none better than along... More

I have been here several times and keep coming back!! Right now it's under construction but u can still experience the arch and enjoy the views!! Parking is difficult right now and handicapped accessibility is some what reduced but so is the price of admission so it helps balance the inconvenience!!

There's quite a bit to see- multiple floors of the old capital building, Dred Scott decision exhibit, wagon train exhibit, buffalo exhibit and others. I enjoyed looking at the artifacts from the time period as well as the history lesson. We didn't see an elevator so be prepared to take the narrow spiral stairs if you want to tour the... More

I am glad I went to the Arch. Tickets are available at the Old Court House on 4th Street. While there at Courthouse there is a cart just like the one you ride up and down in the Arch. It is small and holds 5 people. I went by myself..It was a little uncomfortable. After you get the tickets you... More
