Forest Park was recently voted the best city park in the country. It is home to the wonderful St. Louis Art Museum and the fabulous zoo, both of which are free to all. There are bike paths and running paths, the jewel box full of beautiful plants, the Missouri Historical Society, the Boathouse where you can eat and rent paddle... More

We went through the park on the way to the Muny and it was beautiful. Lots of running trails. Locals do NOT advise visiting at night as it's known to attract some questionable characters :)

In the park is the zoo, history museum, art museum and science center. All of these are free. There are also two golf courses and an outdoor concert venue. The park is gigantic and there is another beautiful spot around every corner.

Forest park is a beautiful place, then you add in all of the (free) museums, zoos, and theaters, it's amazing!

When I visit the park , it is usually for just one thing. This time we had nothing to do, so we just drove around . Discovered a great little bridge over a lagoon and the Korean War Memorial. Now I want to explore more !!

HIGE park in the middle (sort of) of Saint Louis. Cool to see some of the facilities that were created for the World's fair and the Olympics in 1904. Beautiful grounds, you could walk or ride or drive for what feels like forever. Art museum, zoo, and a golf course are just a few of the many things you can... More

Can't help but go for a run in Forest Park, always lots of activity and a diversity of people even when its 95 with 95% humidity. Also love all the cultural resources like the MUNY, ZOO and HISTORY MUSEUM in the park. Can't help taking in all the mansions along Lindell Ave. and wonder about the history of each one.

Forest Park is amazing as it houses the Zoo, Missouri Botanical Gardens, Art Museum and the Muny which is an out door theater. We took Metro to get there!

Forest Park is the best place to run in St. Louis. While there is the primary running trail around the perimeter there are also many periphery trails within the park - all with fantastic and interesting views. The trail is also multi-use in some areas with chat for runners/walkers and asphalt for bicyclists. My favorite part of the trail runs... More

Forest Park is an absolute treasure that contains the Zoo, Art museum, Muny , Jefferson Expansion National historic museum and many other recreational activities. I frequented it daily as a student for the walking and running trails and visiting the zoo and museums with friends many of which charge no admission which for broke students is pretty awesome. The park... More
