Don't judge this gem by it's exterior or it's website; it's great! If you like miniatures this is amazing. It's plain but bigger than it looks. Two floors of miniatures to explore; so much fun. So much detail. The pictures don't do it justice; hard to take pictures of the miniatures due to plastic protection on the exibits & lots of windows producing reflective glare. But easy & fun to see & enjoy while there. My 3 yr old granddaughter loved it. I will definitely be going back & taking friends.

Our church group does something each month, and this was our activity for the month. The website doesn’t do this place justice, and we thought we’d be there for about an hour or so before lunch. However, I think we spent about 1-1/2 hours and could have spent a little more time. The exhibits were creative and often humorous. Lots of doll houses in various eras, but also a campsite, a potato family, and little shops like a general store. There were also some HO scale trains with a switching board.

I didn’t think I was into miniatures, but my group and I truly enjoyed it!

Thanks to an online offer, our family visited and enjoyed this eclectic collection of miniatures. Lots of interesting dollhouses, plus recreated miniatures of a couple of St Louis landmarks. Some whimsical, some historic, all artisticly created and fun to look at (even for us guys). I've never seen a museum anything like this one. It's definitely worth a visit. Give yourself one to two hours.

I picked this as a stop as something to do that wasn't shopping or eating. I anticipated it would be kitsch and we'd laugh and make fun of it. Actually, it was really cool and interesting and we spent 90 minutes looking at every single display. The staff was very friendly but not overbearing. There's a scavenger hunt option you can do to see if you can find a handful of items. I highly recommend this place.

This was a fascinating museum. The exhibits were very detailed and interesting. Many of the exhibits also taught about the history of that particular era or piece of architecture. The volunteers were very helpful, enthusiastic and very interested in sharing their knowledge of miniatures and of the museum.

The museum is right across from the old Bevo Mill. They are only open Wednesday through Saturday, 11 - 4 and Sunday, 1 - 4. If there are no customers, they sometimes close at 3:30 so if you are going late in the afternoon, you may want to call ahead. The museum can be seen in an hour. However, if you like to read descriptions and study the exhibits plan on 2 hours. We were there an hour and had to rush through the second floor. There is also a wonderful gift shop that sells miniature treasures and books on miniatures.

My Fiancé and I have twice visited this hidden gem in St Louis ! Being an avid doll house collector, she is amazed with the 2 story of collections and with the gift shop supplies. We were especially lucky to have been given a tour of their basement storage and workshop ! Amazing Place !

Two stories of miniatures and dollhouses, most of them lit up, inexpensive admission, limited hours, right across from the old Bevo Mill windmill. Themes like haunted house, saloon, fairy tales, various decades, etc. Really interesting and so much detail!! Loved.

The Miniature Museum of Greater Saint Louis is what I call a hidden treasure of our community.
Although I haven't been there in a couple years, I believe this is a fine attraction.. reasonably priced and all ages will enjoy it. Some of the local miniature sites you will see is the Old Cathedral and the Bevo Mill, which by the way is across the street from the museum. As I said all will enjoy this hidden treasure . You will especially enjoy it if this is a hobby of yours, They have in the front of the building a shop where you can buy supplies if this the hobby you prefer. Hobbyist or not put this on your list if you are looking for something unique. I've got a day next week I think i'ts time to revisit this hidden treasure of my city.
