Take a ride on replica 19th-century paddle-wheel boats, Tom Sawyer and Becky Thatcher, located on the riverfront below the south leg of the Gateway Arch. While cruising down the Mississippi, enjoy cruise narration which offers a historical overview of the area and the role this working river still plays today. Advanced ticket purchase recommended. Daily sightseeing cruises, dinner cruises, specialty cruises, and private events available. Open March - November.

The boat was nice and I enjoyed the narration but would have loved to have more folktales and some of the riverboat history added to to the story about bridges and local casinos and buildings on shore. Ability to purchase popcorn, hot dogs and drinks...More

I did the arch/riverboat combo for my young nephews and me. I was interested in the captain's facts as we sailed. My nephews were not. They liked going under the bridges and walking up and down all three floors of the Riverboat. There is not...More

This was a nice boat ride on the Mississippi with lots of seating both outdoors and indoors (air conditioning!). This wasn't our first time on the riverboats and they've changed the outdoor chairs on the top deck, which are now not very comfortable at all....More

We were a group of six ladies, ranging from 10 to 70. We had a fabulous evening on the Riverboat! It was a dinner cruise and the meal was wonderful! Prime rib, chicken breast, roasted potatoes, a couple of choices of veggies, creamy pasta, a...More

This was the best part of the package we purchased through the old court house. The mini cruise had a lot of history and my family really enjoyed the boat ride.

When you first board they take your picture as you enter sitting on the count of 3 ( it was so busy they didn't get to take our picture) but that's fine because we didn't want one and it's not free. The boat ride itself...More

We took the 7:30pm 2-hour sunset cruise. Board at the riverfront directly below the Arch. Reservations are required, and each table is marked with a name. The staff was super friendly! Upper deck gets to serve yourself first. The prime rib dinner was good, and...More

The Gateway Arch Riverboats are a great way to spend a sunny hour or so seeing the Mississippi river. The tour made me wish it were longer. The sights aren't that amazing, but for me simply being on the river is a great experience.

We bought the combo ticket to take the river boat cruise and to go to the top of the arch. Our cruise was first so we got to see the sun setting as we went. The pics were lovely! We had some snacks and sodas...More

We took a ride on the riverboat yesterday. It was 98° and very humid ! We started out on the top deck but moved to the air-conditioning. This is a more sedate and laid-back tourist attraction. The captain did a great job in his narration...More

Sorry, they have me to answer as I recently reviewed the Riverboats. But we travelled only as passengers and are non smokers so we do not know the answer. Perhaps a direct question on the Riverboat website would answer your... More

Great question! If you sit on the West side of the boat (the side facing the Arch) while the boat is docked you will see the Missouri side of the river as the narrator speaks and will see the Illinois side on the way back... More
