The bartenders were attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was a bit chaotic. I definitely didn’t connect with the beers. The Abraxas was cinnamon, vanilla, cocoa, and sweet. Couldn’t drink it. It’s in an industrial area. It’s extremely popular and trendy. The beer scene in St Louis is booming. Perennial is a star. …

First off, Perennial is a great brewery. They are known for their stouts (primarily Abraxas (Chile Chocolate) and Maman (Vanilla)) but they also make very fine IPAs and I personally think they really shine at Barleywine (Blue Ridge and Vermilion). What makes Perennial so great is that it is a stellar beer bar, a good restaurant (although with a small and snack/sandwich oriented menu), they have a nice patio (with a fire pit when its chilly), and is totally kid friendly. My kids regularly take over the dartboards, they have a huge selection of one site games to borrow, and pretty much no one cares they are there so long as they aren't running around like hooligans. If you are a beer tourist with the family, this is likely the easiest stop to make.…

My daughter and I were visiting St Louis for the weekend and this brewery was recommended by several locals.They have several beers on tap but, didn't have too many sours like we like.We did end up trying some IPA's and they were excellent. Wish we could of tried the menu out but, we arrived to late. Will stop back in when in the area again. Laid back atmosphere and friendly bartenders.…

Perennial had a laid back vibe with a fun crowd. The patio looked like it would be a lot of fun in the summer. I was hoping for a better beer selection but was a bit disappointed. Seemed to have more stouts and porters than anything else. They were sold out of the only Pale Ale the day we visited. Will come back and try again this summer.…
