Don't take the name so literally. We're about fun. Not your white walls, walk around, and be quiet museum. If you want to climb around, get active with your kids or are a big kid at heart, we're the place. If you get freaked out easily, you might not want to come. We're four floors filled with miles of tunnels, a full cave system, over 30 slides, a circus, an arts area, a large outdoor climbing space, Architectural Museum, a Cabin that serves adult beverages, a Museum of Mayhem, Mirth and Mystery, and a ton more. Also, there's the roof with a Ferris Wheel and a bus hanging off its edge.

Dino desplay was really good!

a lot to see and touch. The museum is free but they get you on the parking. Be prepared to pay for parking when you arrive or leave.

This unusual museum is located in an old shoe factory. There are collection of many salvaged architectural elements d with an amusement park adventure for the young ones. The rooftop has some slides and a Ferris wheel but I am too old and unfit to enjoy that. Plus it is an extra fee. Good for kids and collectors. Very different.

This place is nothing short of amazing. it's a little overwhelming when you first enter, especially if you are a paranoid parent. However, this place is heavily staffed and everything is safe. Definitely recommend spending the extra money for roof access and adults should bring or purchase knee pads from the gift shop.

I've been to the City Museum once on a second date with my now boyfriend. It was a fun, unique spot that I would definitely recommend for individuals of all ages with the physical capabilities. To really enjoy it, you have to climb, run, slide, explore, etc! Lots of weird twists and turns, for example a mineral display. Also many... More

I love going here with the kids or with the scouts. We can run around and play in a very unique setting. Places to climb, hide, crawl, slide. Kids burn off a ton of energy here.

For all ages, I went down the slide and it was so fun! The artistry everywhere is a real thrill. Everyone laughing around you is also thrilling. We went to the show with the young people juggling and it was fabulous!

Not to be confused with the St. Lois science museum , you need to take your kids to both. The city museum has two story slides inside and lots of cool architecture and things for kids to climb on inside and out. They have a giant ball pit and if you want your kids to cut loose and get some... More

The City Museum is the number 1 thing I recommend to friends visiting the city. You can't find anything like it. It is super fun and active which is a plus. Explore your heart out and appreciate art. It's a great time!

Forget going to the gym, City Museum offers a total body workout crawling through the conduits, caves and passageways and a rewarding slides scattered throughout to take you someplace new and unexplored. This place defies simple explanation. There are architectual exhibits worthy of any major museum tucked away on an upper floors, a circus school, kids craft area and tribute... More
