Don't take the name so literally. We're about fun. Not your white walls, walk around, and be quiet museum. If you want to climb around, get active with your kids or are a big kid at heart, we're the place. If you get freaked out easily, you might not want to come. We're four floors filled with miles of tunnels, a full cave system, over 30 slides, a circus, an arts area, a large outdoor climbing space, Architectural Museum, a Cabin that serves adult beverages, a Museum of Mayhem, Mirth and Mystery, and a ton more. Also, there's the roof with a Ferris Wheel and a bus hanging off its edge.

A great, fun, interesting place. Great for kids but plenty for adults too.

What a great, fun, interesting place! Plenty for both kids & adults too. So many quirky things I won't list them but the many, many spaces (not really rooms as such) just have to be explored - you really never know what's round the next corner. Lots of interactive and thought-provoking things to see & do as well as lots... More

The city museum was great fun for everyone! It is all interactive, and the kids climb through things. There are tunnels and caves, and they were all found in St. Louis. There are many secret areas that are hard to find, though are quite fun once they are discovered. There is an outside area as well. They have a restaurant and... More

Although I'm a life-long resident of St. Louis, I had not been to City Museum before. I had the opportunity to visit over the weekend while attending Geocoinfest, which was held in the museum. After I completed my volunteer work for the event, I wandered around the museum with friends, oohing and ahhing at the various exhibits and taking a... More

This is the house that madness built. So, so strange but so many things to look at. Kids really seemed to enjoy it ---everyone was climbing on everything. The caverns were strange. People with claustrophobia shouldn't go exploring too heavily. Lots of food courts and areas to eat.

Took our daughter and granddaughter there and we all had such fun. I loved climbing and swinging and finding new adventures with a new generation. Wear your walking shoes and bring the child in you. The outside area is really great.

Just two adults visiting and we had a blast. Seeing surprises around every corner had us amazed. We did some climbing and sliding around just like the kids.

City Museum has something for everyone. From toddlers to teens and even adults. If your kids love adventure, they will love this place. There are tunnels that go from here to there and sometimes you never know where they will come out again. The "caverns and catacombs" are amazing and the 4 story slide on the roof is a true... More

Lots of things to do for kids and adults. Not so much things for a toddler but considering the price I paid it was great time spent. A different type of museum which everyone will surely like.

This is a museum kids can touch. There is a lot of climbing - if you want. Almost everything is fair game for kids. There is a ferris wheel on top of the building to ride as well as slides. Inside there is a maze like a cave to explore. Its really hard to explain but you just can't miss... More

Wow, this place is truly amazing! We only had a day and a half in St. Louis so we decided on The Arch and this place and we are SOO happy we did. The title 'City Museum' does not come close to describing it. We thought it should be called 'The Fun Factory' or something like that. In fact it... More
