free seats are awesome, even in 96 degree weather

I went to see Mamma Mia and enjoyed the show. The songs are upbeat and all the dances are big numbers. Lots of fun, even though I hate the story line.

We highly enjoyed watching Young Frankenstein at the Muny, the set was so detailed and the actors were funny and entertaining. The location is key, being in the middle of the park and they even installed big fans to cool down the audience. The drinks are slightly expensive so you should bring your own snacks and drinks. You can also... More

The outdoor theater concept is great. The free tickets - although I've yet to use them - is great. Concession prices are excellent for a theater. Parking is atrocious. Need to be there very early, which is a considerable problem for a summer show. Another negative to being outside is the late starts. Beauty and Beast, Lion King, etc are... More

The Muny is a wonderful venue but don't call their office to get your questions answered...their receptionist is not very friendly.

We try to see a show at the Muny every summer while visiting our sons. This year we saw The Music Man and were not disappointed. The talent is amazing for these short running musicals. The setting is spectacular and temperatures aren't too bad by the time the show starts (8:15). All types of dress are seen here as it... More

Being at the MUNY is an experience to behold. Sitting in front of what may the biggest stage in the country with up to 11,000 other spectators is fun, and The MUNY ALWAYS puts on a spectacle. The venue must have upgraded it's sound system this year as sound quality seemed improved over past years.

I have loved The Muny since seeing Debbie Reynolds in The Unsinkable Molly Brown when I was 10. I have seen many shows since, and I was happy to be able to attend The Music Man when I was in St. Louis recently. My sister has season tickets, so we sat in great seats. It is nice to see the... More

You should make it a date night. Get dresses up (any dress is ok there) Eat on site at the buffet just outside the gates on the lower left area. Then go and watch fantastic show. It does get hot since its outside. There are quiet fans on during the show on the four corners so if you want to... More

As someone who lives in Chicago and melts in heat, I was dubious about attending an outdoor theater venue in St. Louis. Wow--what an unexpected treat! We saw a first rate production of the Music Man--talented actors, wonderful singing, impressive sets, terrific choreography--in a beautiful outdoor setting. With its comfortable seats, giant fans and expansive layout, this place puts the... More

My favorite place to go during the summer. You can use the free seats or buy a ticket. Bring your own drinks and snacks and enjoy a great musical show. Never a disappointment.
