Could be a great area, neglected, ignored. There are people that may not have anywhere else to go around sometimes, I like the river view, but keep one eye on my surroundings when alone.

I was there Saturday before Easter for the Happy Camper Scamper 5K to raise funds for Camp Quality. The trail runs from a large parking lot and nature center to downtown along a paved trail beside the Missouri River. The city needs to save this gem, which was recently hit hard by erosion, but still walkable.

The hike is nice. The river being the reason for the trail. There are several place to step off the trail a few feet and look across the river, up the river, down the river, and at some wet lands. The developers have done an excellent job of providing some signs giving a bit of history and interpreting what you... More

Walked along the River their are several lookout areas with some History Boards some benches located along the concrete path. We stopped and sat on a bench and a bee landed on my arm and stung me. I was just sitting there, I've always told the kids if you leave them alone they won't bother you. So much for that... More

Our impressions were nothing like a few older negative reviews. The river itself is wide and muddy, but what a site to watch the fast-moving waters. The paved trail is in excellent condition except around a bend outside the Remington Nature Center -- at that location, half the trail is cut down to single file with a secured chain link... More

This park is worth looking up. There are trails for walking, a lake & a wonderful view of the entire city.

This area is run down. I would go after sundown. There is a ton of trash around. I think it is more of a hang out for druggies and drinkers.

My husband grew up in St. Joe and it was my first trip there, so he was showing me around.. Upon arrival he was very disappointes in how run down it had become. Reminded me of a good place to get mugged. Junkies and rif raf hanging about. I would say keep away!

I lived in St. Joe when Riverfront park was built, when you could go there and get on a paddle-boat to take a ride on the river! This was one of the most fun things there ever was to do in St. Joe... Unfortunately, the riverboat gave way to a casino, which shortly after moved upstream and became a larger... More
