Before you go, make sure you use the bathroom because there's none there and the closest bathroom is at the museum next door and they make you pay admission to use it. Having said this, the house is very small, but provided more information that expected. The admission fee was $4 for adults and $2 for children 6 and older.... More

Was surprised it was nestled on the backside of the Patee Hotel behind the carousel. Once inside there are wonderful exhibit pieces and a friendly, knowledgable docent. Odd feeling while standing there in the parlor looking at the blood stain on the floor, and what was once supposedly the bullet hole in the wall. People in the past have chipped... More

Really enjoyed seeing the Jesse James Home Museum. A lot of great artifacts. Interesting articles. The attendant was very friendly and informative.

This is a great place to stop if in the area. There is an admission charge and each room presents interesting stories about Jesse James and the day that he died. The actual bullet hole is covered in glass but interesting to still see. There is a little gift shop and the shirts for kids are somewhat pricy – but... More

This house is a neat place to visit. It is quite small so it only took us about 20 min to go through. My 9 year old really liked looking and listening to everything. I'm glad we were already there for the other museum or I would have been a tad disappointed since it was so small.

Very interesting and reasonably priced admission. Lots of information and history for that era. If you are looking for a day trip or just an interesting place to go, check it out. For 6.00 per adult, you walk into the home and history of Jesse James.

I have been wanting to check this out for years and finally did! There is much information crammed into this little four room building. I'd think twice about bringing young children because it's not a hands on museum. The exhibits are largely display only with descriptive text explaining them. We loved it and learned a great deal!

Once again not the friendliest cashier but he really didn't give me time to tell him we were AAA members before he rang us up. Then he said wish you had said that 10 seconds earlier. Aside from that we really enjoyed looking at all the Jesse James items and articles and we are really glad we visited.

The curious nature of the legend of Jesse James is depicted in a visit to the original Jesse James home in St. Joseph, Missouri. Like you would expect, it is a small and almost nondescript house, typical of the times, but what it connects is the story of one of America's most famous outlaws. Npw listed as a national historic... More

This is the house that Jesse wad killed in, or part if it anyway. The original kitchen area was removed at some point. The house is not in the location it was in when Jesse lived there, but it is the same house. It is cool to see just in itself. Admission into the interior is inexpensive and worth the... More
