Yes, the house is tiny and does not take long at all to go through, but the history alone makes this a must see. Just to see the picture he was adjusting when he was shot in the back and the hole in the wall. The sink when his wife and child stood when he was shot. Well worth it... More

This museum was the home of the famous outlaw Jesse James. It is also the home where Jesse James was reportedly shot and killed when a gunman standing outside his window shot him in the head as Jesse was reported to be standing on a chair either hanging a picture or straightening it. You can still see the bullet hole... More

Moved from its original location to its current location in St. Joseph, The Jesse James Home & Museum is small and unassuming. About the only other thing to see is the hole in the wall from the shot that killed Jesse James.

A must see for any Jesse James fan. The house was much smaller than I imagined. I believe everyone can learn something new. Unfortunate that the house has been moved from it's original location but at least it has been saved for everyone's enjoyment. I would definitely return if I was in the area.

Located just behind the Patee House Museum, this little house is where bad man Jesse James was shot. Although smaller than I thought it would be, it's still full of historical information for history lovers.

Refuse to go there. I am tired of Jesse getting a bid for a reason to come to this city. He was a really bad man. Also, this house has been moved several times. There are so many really great things to see and do here, don't waste you time on this one.

The house was charming; however, I'm unclear how authentic it was. As I understood it, the only items original to the house at the time Jesse died there was a kitchen sink and one kitchen cabinet. The house has been redone over the years which, for me, takes away from the experience! I am glad I saw it tho!!

Doesn't take long to go through, but extremely interesting. Coupled this with the Patee tour and had a really good day. Learned a lot more about Jesse James than I knew before. Of you're a history buff, great place to visit.
