An interesting place. Actual Jesse James home in St. Joseph, Missouri and place where he was shot. Been a wile sine there but hasn't changed.

The home is small, so it doesn't take long to tour it, but it is still fascinating. We went through the Jesse James home prior to spending the remainder of our day at the Patee House Museum which is conveniently located next door. You can see both places for $10, which is a bargain these days!

Take your time and soak in the history of Missouri's most famous outlaw in the small home where he was killed. The bullet hole from the killers shot is preserved along with other artifacts of the James Gang

As a history buff, this is a place to have on your list. However, don't carve out a lot of time for this little house. Audio tour tells about the demise of James and there is a small exhibit under glass of what was found in his grave when he was exhumed for DNA testing. You will want to spend... More

This was a nice little 10 minute tour of the house where Jessee lived for a short time and killed. Sad to learn that all of his family's possessions were sold and everything in the house was a piece from that time period, but not his.

It is a small house, typical of that time period, of course! But still...lots of history in the house. Also thought info on the exhumation was interesting. Glad I went and if you are in St Joe...you really should make the stop!

We enjoyed our visit to the Jesse James museum. The lady at the counter was very friendly and gave us good introduction to the museum. Once we entered the parlor, a brief narrative was played that gave information about Jesse. The bullet hole in the wall was neat to see. It does not take a long time to visit, but... More

Kind of creepy was how my children felt about this. I wanted to go since I have seen Jesse James movies. So now we can say we have done that.

It was a curious trip to Kansas City, then a rental to Sullivan County and Milan, MO. Passing through St. Joseph saw me stop at the Jesse James Home & Museum! It was closed for the season! Through persistence and inquiry I was allowed into the Jesse James home! I was in heaven. In the middle of nowhere I prevailed.
