The Missouri Theater is a beautiful icon of our city. It was built in an elegant day and continues to house wonderful performances. Unfortunately the restrooms are upstairs, the seats are narrow, and the stairs are steep. It is not a good location for travelers with physical limitations. Despite this it will always hold a special place in our city.

As a teenager I saw movies here almost every weekend. I was impressed with the architecture then, but now as a senior citizen I am absolutely awed that St Joseph has such a treasure. The theater is used now for live performances and the visiting cast are also awed by the architecture. I attended a performance, The Phantom of the... More

I attended the Christmas presentation and Mary Poppins. It is an enjoyable experience to sit in this historical theatre and watch these talented people entertain and present an enjoyable experience. Be sure to check the theatre schedule and buy a ticket to escape to a superb performance!

A gem in the heart of downtown St. Joseph, the Missouri Theater stands tall and majestic. It has been wonderfully maintained and restored, beautiful structure both inside and outside. Exquisite stained glass, marble and stone, it truly is breathtaking. The theater productions are all wonderful and very well done, and home to the St. Joseph Symphony. Absolutely beautiful!

St. Joseph can boast of amazingl architecture, and this beautifully restored theater is one of our crown jewels. The performances are always first class, from the Glenn Miller Band to the Nelson Twins to Ron White. There is never a shortage of talent and there isn't a bad seat in the house. Treat yourself to the best and don't forget... More

The architecture is beautiful in this theater. If you get a chance check it out - at least take a look inside and out. As a child I used to have my dance recitals there. I thought it was the most beautiful place. As an adult I can appreciate it even more.
