Named for a poem, not much to see

At one time, Lovers Lane was on the edge of town but not now. Eugene Field wrote a famous poem about it, but today there is only a marker and some nice homes to drive by.

Trees line Lovers Lane St. Jo creating an atmosphere like none other. The Eugene Field monument and its flowers are beautiful and reminiscent of his famous Lovers Lane poem. A new bench offers a peaceful resting oasis.

Perhaps just driving down a road that is called "Lover's Lane" means something for someone, sorry I am not that someone. Nothing to see...just a few older houses. Please do not waste your time.

This is an absolute beautiful area. You could stop and go for a walk or hike, but we were just passing through. The bonus for this area is there are a lot of geocaches nearby. Have fun and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

There's pretty houses to look at as your driving past them, it could be used for waking or jogging and it's very well kept, but other than that it's just another street in town. It shouldn't really be classified as an attraction.

This is a beautiful street that connects central St Joe with the beltway. Many houses are large and stately with large lawns that roll down to the street, old trees and beautiful flowers. The architecture along Lovers Langer is varied: a Victorian next to a 1950's modern house, for example. Well worth a drive by.... or if you are staying... More

Why is this recommended as an attraction. There is nothing special to see. I think that they are trying to bring $$ to the area that is actually run down.

This is such a beautiful drive. I would love to live there. The trees are in their full fall glory. Now you get to really realize why the poem was wrote. Ashland Avenue is near by and also the parkway. Put all three together and you have one fabulous fall drive. The parkway connects from one end of the city... More

This was something we seeked out, because we had read some interesting reviews. Now I am not sure what people were taking about in the reviews because it was just a very short street with a monument with a quote from Eugene Fields. Had some flowers along the base of the monument... Not worth looking for. Not too much to... More

This is another site I was surprised to see high on the list of things to do in St. Joe... This is nothing more than relatively short street. It is certainly nicer than most streets in St. Joe; however, I would much rather take a drive down Ashland or out in Stonecrest. There is a monument; however, it says little... More
