This place is a must go if you are in the area. We started out at the kids playground area that I was surprised even existed. Then we walked through the area that had the old iron furnace and read about the area. Our children were quickly drawn into the spring and wanted to go upstream and we loved seeing... More

While visiting our family in Missouri they took me to this great place, where we could celebrate my son and his wifes birthday and enjoy the historic parts of this park. After we enjoyed the birthdaycakes at the picknicktable, we went for a stroll passed the trout hich were swimming in the several ponds. Little bridges crossing them. We also... More

Here's the deal...I went here on a recommendation about how beautiful it is. It certainly is that. You can fish here. There are places for camping. Many places for a picnic, even for a large gathering. If you're going for one of those reasons, it's very nice. The park has a lot of history as well, if that's your thing.... More

Ended up here thinking it was just a typical little park. We were so pleasantly surprised at all the beautiful things to see while here. Tons of walking areas, loving the shade from the trees, and awesome to hang near the spring which is gorgeous.

I couldn't believe the sheer amount of people here. When told of this place they left out the part that it is a trout farm and people are ALL over the place.

Beautiful park with trout fishing, trout hatchery, Old iron works factory and more. Fish all day in this cool spring fed setting. Or feed the trout at the hatchery. Picnic on the grounds or camp overnight. Plenty of deer to see at sunrise or sunset. Just outside the park is the trophy trout waters of the Meramec River. Last time... More

We take family and visitors here when they're new to St James. We feed the trout that they raise (popular spot for fishing) and walk around, enjoying the scenery. Good picnic spots and playgrounds for kids. Also a museum on site although I've never visited. It'll cost a few dollars per vehicle to enter unless you have purchased the pass.

It is a very Beautiful Place, loved the walking paths, fish sanctuaries and the History of the Iron Works. The Museum is very educational. We didn't have enough time to spend there and plan to go again and spend more time.

We didn't plan on stopping but so glad we did. Very beautiful park our whole family liked. Great scenery and beautiful stream that cuts through park. We will go back for sure. Only $5.00 for whole family to get into park. Will bring my fishing pole next time because they stock trout in the river.

Beautiful place people at agricultural museum were nice . People at entry very rude. You have to pay to get in and they do not take debit. You can get out and go in and pay 5 to get cash. You cannot pay and drive through camping to see if you want to camp
