We visited the park while honeymooning in nearby Saint James. There's a short loop around the hatcheries and fishing areas which was well-maintained and dotted with frequent benches. The spring was picturesque and the staff was friendly. The only suboptimal part of the experience was...More

Whether fishing for trout, feeding them, or picnicing, this is a wonderful place for an outing. To call the iron works ruins and the museum's interesting is a huge understatement.

Beautiful blue spring and walking trails. We enjoyed the natural beauty of the site, learning the history of the place, and feeding the trout. Playground equipment is old and in need of replacement.

We visited this beautiful park as we tracing the route of one of the caravans from the Indian Removal of 1838. Nothing was open, we were late in the season, but it was a beautiful, tranquil place We drove the road through the park and...More

Be sure to get a map, either when paying or by going inside the shop near the entrance. They seem to be stingy with them, which may have been due to being end of season, at least that seemed to be the answer for everything!...More

I'm not sure. You would have to call them or ask at the gate when you pay. Many people fish there, so they may have restrictions.
