A great place to get away. So nice to be here. I live in Colorado where everyone has to be outside and crowd all the parks and trails. There are little gumball machines to dispense cat food pellets to feed the glutton fish. 25 cents...More

I was excited to visit this place and definitely not disappointed! The $5 per car charge was well worth the day..Drove the historic drive first and saw beautiful woods and humble old cemetery. We then parked and walked with the dog through many trails and...More

When we lived around here it was always one of my favorite places to go. There is a huge spring with crystal clear water, in which you can watch the huge trout swimming. There is a fish nursery and you can see the trout in...More

Maramec Springs is a shining example of why nature should be preserved. Even as an active trout fishery, the springs themselves are a natural wonder most never get to see. I can't remember the gallons per minute that this baby pumps out, but it is...More

The second day of Spring we decided to make a family outing to the park. We enjoyed that there was access for our stroller to maneuver around the park as well as the park being dog friendly (as long as the dogs were leashed). The...More

My family has been camping at St James for 20 years. Beautiful park with lots of history. The price of camping keeps going up but no updates are ever made. The bathrooms are dirty and out dated. Sadly we have had to make other arrangements.

Too many visitors miss the essence of the park. They will see the park and take walks around the spring. Want to expeirence the park instead of just visiting? Start out at the museum and get a grasp of the parks real beginnings of pre...More

A beautiful place to visit, camp, fish!! The staff who work the fishing/tackle/ticket office are super friendly and helpful. The area is truly beautiful. Whether you drive to the top, or just walk around the lower grounds, BREATHTAKING!

You can walk along the beautiful path to the source of the spring, which is gorgeous! You can also see the multitude of trout that are raised there, as well as feed them at various points along the way by putting a quarter in the...More

I assume pets are not allowed as I've never seen them and we go there often. There are a lot of family gatherings and I guess at some point people did not clean up after their pets and most folks have this aversion of... More
