This is fun thing to do while in St. Charles, MO. It's a small little museum with a self-guided tour. We found it informative and interesting. Good to understand a little history about the area.

This museum was very informative or a great review for those interested in the Lewis & Clark expedition from St. Charles Mo to the Pacific Ocean. I suggest middle school age & up as written descriptions & most displays are higher up off the floor for younger ones. One room has a video of areas of the country along the... More

I took my 5 kids here and we had a great time looking around at all the exhibits at the Boat House! I recommend stopping by for an hour or so to look around!

There's plenty to discover here. Intriguing exhibits are placed low enough for kids to see and experience. There's an abundance of animal displays as well as artifacts from the time of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. A costume area allows for dressing up in early 19th century clothing. My personal favorite is the boat display below the museum that has... More

The museum and gift shop were nice and cool on a hot day. The price of admission to the museum is only $5. The staff was very nice and informative. They have a lot items for sale and some freebies for kids

Located next to the river on one end of the park this building has displays and also houses historic looking boats. One of a number of site seeing ventures.

We arrived early in the day so watched the Lewis and Clark re-enactors raise the flag from the Boat House Deck. The displays, dioramas, video of the L & C Expedition, gift shop, and knowledgeable staff were all first rate. Well worth the visit. Make sure you check out the boat replica on the first floor.

If you think you know all there is to know about Lewis and Clark and their famous expedition, you're wrong! A visit to this museum, with its incredible array of exhibits and artifacts, will surprise you. Did you know that Lewis actually carried an air powered rifle? I didn't either until I saw it on display. It was high tech... More
