Our party consisted of 4 adults and two 8-year olds. We were lucky to have the room all to ourselves. Made it out with 1:30 to spare on a room that has an approximately 32% escape rate. Only criticism I have is that it is in a back corner of a dimly lit business park. It was difficult to find after dark. Even as we walked up to the building (it was the only one with lights on inside) we were still slightly unsure that we were in the right place. Epic time, though :)

Had a great experience over the weekend at this escape room. As a group of 6 we tried to conquer the Elf room and failed. The lady informed us that only about 1/3 of the people get out of that room. It was fun but some of it was pretty complicated with nothing to lead you in the right direction like other rooms we have done. The hints we received were nice though.

The game masters were super helpful! They even gave us extra time and were very attentive to when we needed help. The Shed escape room in St. Charles is definitely challenging but is a blast to complete! I was also very pleased that we were able to make a reservation for only two people! Most other escape rooms require a full group or charge a lot more. We will go back!

I live in the St. Charles, MO area and there are so many escape room places. I love escape rooms so I have completed several at various locations. Mastermind is by far the best escape room in the area! The rooms are always laid out perfectly to work from one clue to the next, often two or three are waiting for you to solve so everyone in the room can contribute without standing around watching, and there aren't a ton of red herrings to confuse you. Almost everything in the room has a purpose to a puzzle and if it doesn't, like decorations, they have a little sticker that says 'not in play'. The puzzles are difficult enough without wondering what pieces you need to complete them! Also, I love how clever their puzzles are! Some are straight forward, some take teamwork, and some require you to think outside the box a little (save one of those game master clues for the end!). I will ALWAYS go back to Mastermind rooms first before trying a different place. I hope they have a new one opening in the near future, I've almost finished them all!

Took my family there. It was a great team building experience and really was eye opening to the different personalities and how they try to solve puzzles. I would recommend it to anyone and plan to do this when I have a family reunion sometime. Very enjoyable and fun! Challenging as well - I was quite surprised. It was a little tough for my 8 and 9 year old but they still had fun and were able to work along side some of us. The teenagers and adults loved it.

We did the Home Alone room, with a group ranging from 8 years old to 40 yrs. We all had a great time and each person contributed to figuring out the clues, even the kids. It was a fun group activity over the holidays. The staff members were friendly and helpful as well. We all would like to try out the other rooms available.

We had a GREAT experience celebrating for our 11-year son's birthday at Mastermind Room Escape - Diamond Heist. Our host was very laid back and put us at ease by being very welcoming, patient with kids and not rushing us as we got started. This was by far the best experience and host we have ever had at multiple escape rooms we have visited before. The escape room itself was complex and challenging, which we all enjoyed. I would definitely return here for a team building or another time with friends/family.

This is definitely the first of many more escapes. Our escape guide was so friendly and helpful. We had a 10 yr old and 13 yr old in our group of four and they loved it as much as we did. We did not escape in time, but were close and she allowed us to continue to the end. The kids are excited to try a scarier room next!

We’ve done 3 mastermind st Charles rooms and always are left satisfied. The workers have great personalities and are very welcoming. The rooms are exhilarating and every time I walk out of one I want to go right back into another there.

We really had a great time at our escape room. Our host was Katy and she was the sweetest and most helpful person. We were a group of five and three of us had never tried an escape room before.Everyone in our group loved it and talked about going again. I cannot say enough how much fun we had and what a great experience they made it for our inexperienced group.
