Exactly what I wanted.. I booked a week private ski guiding and added a couple of heli drops in for good measures.. My local guide (Kristjan) was excellent, introduced to amazing back-country lines coupled with some great climbs. We basically drove around checking out zones and hiked in and rode some great lines. Brilliant fun and will be back for sure.. Many thanks guys

My trip in British Columbia through CMH was cancelled by the outfitter at the last minute. It was late April and I had two weeks to find a new place to go. I contacted Viking and Sara helped me find a spot in early May! Everything about the experience was excellent. The trip was in the first week of May 2022. We ended up with fresh snow nearly everyday up in the mountains. The daily apres ski at the heli pad and nightly dinners were amazing. All of their team and guides were first class! About to book my trip for this year.

The best of the best! I had an amazing experience with Viking Heliski. The guides were amazing, the lodge was a great place to start and end the day, they had all the necessary gear, and incredible knowledge of the surrounding area and its ski potential. We had no hiccups through three full days of heliskiing and have nothing but good things to say. This operation is the real deal and I can't recommend it more!

A truly phenomenal skiing experience. Siglo Hotel was beautifully decorated and comfortable with excellent food. The guides were skilled, patient and friendly. The helicopter pilots masterful. The other guests in the group were interesting and inclusive. The mountains and the views were stunning with a perfect layer of 2 inches of “corn” snow. A fabulous ambience. They say the best things in life to spend your money on are experiences ……

My partner and I came for a heli ski adventure. Although Iceland had a very mild winter with much less snow than usual this year, our guide/ owner, Bjorgvin, was a master of knowing the terrain and finding the best lines for us. We had a great day on the Troll Peninsula that started late but we skied until 9:30 at night! The sun came out and the views were beyond compare.
The cabins have private hot tubs and kitchens. The main lodge also has a hot tub, pool table, darts and kitchen. They have a very talented staff! We ate 5 star meals, every day. The breakfasts had homemade French pastries, fruit, Icelandic yogurt, bacon, eggs and many sides. Their dinners rivaled the best, fine restaurant. The first night we had lamb tenderloin and the second, carpaccio appetizers and salmon main course. Desserts were so far above most restaurants that we were blown away. It was an outstanding heli AND foodie trip.
The owners are expanding to include mountain biking in the summer and other summer activities. The area the lodge is in, is remote and beautiful. I highly recommend Viking Heli Ski!

we enjoyed skiing at midnight and during the day on corn snow, from top of the mountains to the sea
the lodge is very nice and people there made us feeling like at home!
there is good mixture of easy and difficult slopes

johan and his crew made our stay at the troll penninsula unforgettable through their warm welcome, the great food at the lodge, the amazing skiing & snowboarding and the great atmosphere among the whole crew at viking helisking. we rode powder and spring snow with the most incredible view over the ocean, never got bored on downdays and made friends for life!

I came here from California to celebrate my dad's 66th birthday and I cannot say enough about our experience. Viking Heliskiing exceeded expectations from start to end. We had an easy pick up at the Akureyri airport and an easy drive up to the stunning lodge. The service is on point, the lodging perfect and best of all was the staff. I loved our guides! I loved the chefs! I loved the helicopter pilot! Thank goodness we decided to pull the trigger and try skiing in new place, it was well worth it!
Pro tip: Icelandic weather can be quite variable! We had two beautiful, bright sunny days and a couple with grayer skies. It turned out perfect to book the lodge for 4 days - we had two amazing days of of brilliant heli skiing, one day of foggier ski touring and a down day where we went for a chill drive along the coast with stops in hot springs and little villages. Do yourself a favor and add a couple days to your stay to ensure your best chances with the weather!

One run! Only one run for $3,500.+ for a 20 second helicopter ride to top of moutain, 20 seconds back to lodge. (A signed contact guaranteeing minimum 4 runs...again, only one run). Husbands rented ski was not fitted properly. Quide/owner broke out his Swiss army knife at top of mtn.to adjust the non-fitted ski, which didnt work. Needed the assistance of guide/owner's assistance down the mtn. Immediately upon the helicopter ride back to lodge, guide was in communication with lodge to have another guest to be ready to take our place. At lodge, guide/owner obviously had other interests to tend to, as in other guests. Quite rude as host. We felt he just couldn't be bothered with us. No offering of anything to drink at dinner, charged us another $200. for ski rental and wine at dinner. Hot tub in shared cabin was in non-working order. Spent most of our experience sittting around the lodge with nothing to do.Just the worst, most costly and disappointing experience ever. March time frame.
