When you first arrive at Bluff Dwellers the view is amazing. You will notice Limestone walls and 35 steps you have to climb to get to the entrance of the cavern..that is the hardest part of the cave. As you go up the steps think about how all this limestone is a part if a landside that sealed this cavern off from man for more than 3000 years. Since 1925 it has been owned and operated by the same family and guaranteed you will be amazed by what is under this Bluff~ The tour underground takes around 45 min-1hr, well lit and guided. The Browning Museum is also included on the tour, a wonderful collection of mineral rocks, fossil rocks, artifacts and antiques.

With a group of tour guides traveling eastern Missouri looking at different caves and this was definitely the favorite of the the day. Each cave has its unique features and this one definitely caught my eye. The limestone the cave is formed of is amazing and the faculty was very passionate and knowledgeable. Our guide, Corrine, was awesome!! Made the... More

A wonderful, narrow cavern just down the road from us. It has interesting formations and a huge, flat rock that fell from the ceiling above laying on another rock, held up like a perfectly balanced teeter totter.

We was riding motorcycles so hot so we stopped to check cave and cool down. The group gathered to go was large and some very rude people but the guide took it all with stride very nice. Was awesome tour. Stays 59* year round

Hopped down the road from my club's event at the river ranch to check this out with the wife and some other members. Our guide was Mary Jane and she was awesome. The caverns are beautiful. Check this place out and ask for Mary Jane if you come by it, tell her the Freaks of Nature sent you.

Under new management that were really nice, they gave us a discount because the museum and gift shop was closed and being remodeled. We got to see baby salamanders and some bigger ones which was cool! Beautiful cave overall! About a 45 minutes tour.

My mother and I went through Bluff Dwellers Cavern last week during our Spring break. It was fascinating to hear the story of the family who excavated the cave and made it available for public viewing. Also, I loved seeing ancient seashells in the walls as well as all the other features. Mary Jane, our tour guide, was very gracious... More

This is a very interesting place to visit. My sister, her husband and kids loved visiting it with me and Grandma years ago. I'm tall, and I didn't have to duck very often. When you visit, be sure to ask about the history of the area. It was fascinating, even if some of it was conjecture. Some years, they even... More

My 84 yr old mother and I went on the tour 15 Sept 2015. Mary Jane was a great guide. She was funny and informative. We saw 3 caverns in 2 days and they all had their good sides. I highly recommend this cave. The price is right and there is plenty to see and learn. It is a good... More

Me and my 5 year old daughter absolutely loved the Cavern and our guide Mary Jane. She greeted us and showed us around the museum first then a few more people showed up. There were around 10 of us in the group that went on the guided tour. The Caverns were really interesting and especially when you heard the story... More
