- vicki n3 contributionsBetter than expected.Boone was a fantastic guide. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Answered lots of questions and even spent some extra time trying to find us a salamander. I would definitely recommend him when you go on the tour. It was a great cave and fun to explore.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 24, 2023
- Okla_IC_nurseOklahoma City, Oklahoma121 contributionsMore for me than my kidsThis was my first cave experience as well as my 5 and 9 year old, seeing things for the first time…I think I nerded out more than they did! The guide (Boone) was patient with the 4 kids in our group and all their questions. It was quite an adventure and was worth the little road trip.Visited November 2023Traveled with familyWritten November 20, 2023
- Kathy A1 contributionVery enjoyableVery interesting. Our guide Cory was very knowledgeable and enjoyable. My husband has breathing problems and had to leave the cave within just a few minutes. Cory let him out and the office gave us the amount of his ticket back. Don't see that often. I would highly recommend if you like visiting caves to visit this one.Visited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 6, 2024
- Robin KEast Alton, Illinois1 contributionExcellent Tour of Bluff Dwellers CaveWe had a great experience visiting this cave. Boone was our tour guide and he did an excellent job explaining the history of the cave. We visited the cave the day after heavy rains and were very fortunate to experience how water flows through cracks and crevices over the formations. It was amazing. We appreciate the owners keeping this tour very intimate and not commercialized. This was one of our very favorite cave tours. The gift shop was nice and the museum had quite a few impressive displays of minerals.Visited May 2024Traveled with familyWritten May 10, 2024
- MichelleKansas City, Missouri7 contributionsAmazing cave to visit!!!This was unexpectedly the best part of our trip!! We came to Noel for a float trip and found Bluff Dwellers Cave as an option of something to do on our way in. We scored with Cory as our tour guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable and made the tour a blast! I learned so much on this visit and was ridiculously excited to wear my new souvenir tee so I would have a reason to talk about it!!!Visited June 2024Traveled with familyWritten June 29, 2024
- Danielle O1 contributionVery cool cave to check out!Cory was our tour guide, and we had a really good time! He was funny and knowledgeable of the caves history and formations. The cave is really beautiful, and the tour was about an hour long, and easy to do. We really want to go back and do the wild cave tour soon!Visited August 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 19, 2024
- Misty KStanley, Wisconsin45 contributionsA hidden gem!!!We’re from Central WI and were looking for a pit stop while traveling back home from TX. Of allll the places we could’ve stopped, THIS is what we picked and it was PERFECT! First of all, the drive to the cave was awesome! Our GPS took us through some beautiful Oklahoma and Arkansas country. The gift shop and cave museum on the property are well maintained, well stocked and very informative. The black light room and all the displays and family history were some highlights. Onto the tour!! Our tour guide was Boone and he was the best! He was the perfect blend of knowledge and humor. His tour was rich in history and factual information that was super engaging and fun! We’ve visited many other caves and this little diamond in the rough was one of the best we’ve been to! A big thank you to Boone for making this a core memory on our 2024 family vacation!Visited August 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 27, 2024
- Colleen W1 contributionBeautiful gemWent with friends to this cave. First time exploring the southwestern portion of Missouri, and this was the highlight of the trip. The cave is so beautiful. I appreciated the fact that it is family owned, and that the family takes care to share this treasure with others. Cory, our guide, was amazing. Cory's knowledge of the cave, its history, its features, and the salamanders, was quite impressive. I enjoyed his humor as well. Truly an unforgettable experience.Visited August 2024Traveled with friendsWritten September 10, 2024
- Mary R18 contributionsBeautiful cave!My sister and I loved the cave! The various formations were beautiful. Talan was a fun and informative guide as he led us and a family with a cute little girl through the caves. He went out of his way to look for cave salamanders to show the little girl. We would highly recommend this tour!Visited September 2024Traveled with familyWritten September 19, 2024

I’m not sure what federal or state ADA rules are regarding this sort of venue, but in my book, Bluff Cave Dwellers in Noel, AR is a huge bust. Getting up to the cave entrance is a difficult climb over uneven, different height steps. Once in the cave, pathways are rugged & dangerous. Handrails are almost entirely absent and are flimsy when present. Lighting prevents visitors from seeing clearly what is ahead on the path. I stumbled several times and nearly fell once even though I’m fairly able-bodied.
Apparently, owners provide transportation from the low parking level to the entrance and back, unless workers happen to be on a lunch break.
The trail is quite long, taking well over 90 minutes to complete and there are no rest areas for less able visitors.
At a price of $20/adult, Noel can keep their venue. I, for one, will never recommend it nor return.

I love a good classic road side attraction. Bluff Dwellers cave is a great show cave. Our tour guide Jennifer was awesome. They do the corny jokes about cave formation and stuff. But they also know their stuff about the cave and how it evolved over the millions of year and it's discovery a hundred years ago. We went on a Wednesday and only had 4 in our tour group so our guide was able to answer all the questions which led to some extra time in the cave.

So far my favorite cave in the Ozarks. The Bluff Dwellers Cave has a really nice gift shop and a surprisingly nice museum with minerals from all over and artifacts including arrowheads. The cave itself is beautiful. Easy to navigate, well maintained, and with beautiful structures. We saw a lot of fossils on the walls and two kinds of salamanders during our visit. The tour guide was knowledgeable and kind. Notice that this cave is pretty close to the Old Spanish Treasure Cave in Sulphur Springs, AR. I would recommend visiting both on the same day.

The trip was exciting and unique. The staff were very friendly, and knowledgeable. The rock show was unique. The dark room was something that most places don't have making the experience even cooler. They have their own museum with old furniture, rock, and salamander models. 100/10. Highly recommend.

My husband and I had an amazing time at Bluff Dwellers. Cory was our guide and he was endless in knowledge about the cave, rocks, fossils, history and preservation of the cave, and so much more. We learned more than we ever expected. He was also funny and made the tour entertaining. The cave was vast and beautiful inside and impossible to describe as it is a must see. We saw a couple frogs and bats. The cave also has an amazing rock and Indian arrowhead museum plus a fantastic gift shop. Although my children are older and didn’t go all ages young to old would have a great time. I highly recommend going.

Guide (Jackie) was well informed, personable. and quick thinking. Enjoyed her explanations of cave features, Have been here twice before and learn something each time I come. Easy walk with railing at rough spots. Hardest part is climbing the stairs to the ticket office. They have several activities for children outside the cave,
Gift shop is well stocked and the small museum behind it has many impressive rock. mineral and fossil specimens. As others have said wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a sweater or light jacket.

If I'm being honest, we expected very little from our tour at Bluff Dwellers Cave, but were pleasantly surprised at just how much we enjoyed it! Mary Jane was our guide and although I didn't meet the other guides, I have to think she's the best one! She was funny and extremely knowledgeable 'all things cave'. If you are in the area, I recommend taking time out of your day to make the trip. We were the first tour to go and there were four of us: my three (age 53,45,19) plus one other guy. As we were leaving, many were pulling up so I would suggest being there when they open at 10am so maybe you'll have a small group. If Mary Jane is there - go with her!

We had a great time with our tour. At first, we were not sure about spending the money to take the tour, but so glad we did! There are plenty of things to see, and our guide did a great job explaining all the different aspects of the cave. We were able to linger a little longer because we were the only people at the time taking the tour. Highlight of the day for sure! Corey was our guide and he did a great job explaining and answering our questions. Also, great gift shop and museum. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful cave with well lit walk and easily accessible. The tour guide was a hoot, very knowledgeable and very unique. Gift shop is great and the attached museum is outstanding. Still run by the original family it is an outstanding example of conservation. Don't forget the museum and gift shop....any rock hound would love it.
