Absolutely fabulous. Saw the "Lost Highway" today.Michael Perrie was perfect as Hank Williams. The musicians were very talented. In total a stellar performance. I would highly recommend. Plus we had lunch there and were served the best chocolate chip bread pudding I have every had.

If you’re in Missouri or in the vicinity, do yourself a favor and take in this show. It’s professional, it’s funny and it’s a great evening of entertainment. You won’t be disappointed! A great night of entertainment.

First class theater in a renovated classic. Fun; different; amusing entertainment from by-gone days. Every bit as good as the more renowned theater at Arrow Rock, MO.

I recently brought a tour group to see Every Christmas Story Ever Told and the reunion of the three actors who had starred in it a decade earlier was amazing. Their timing was impeccable and the props, especially using the TV screens on each side of the theatre, added so much to the performance.
Todd Davison pulls out all the stops when hiring actors and producing all of the fantastic plays and musicals at the Maples Rep.
Actors Equity performers separate this from a community theatre. Stellar scripts with outstanding actors and directors make for worthwhile plays. It's a wonderful theatre in a revitalized downtown in Mid Missouri. It's worth the drive!

It's a day trip must see which is seldom seen in a small town. Prices are reasonable and the people and setting is family friendly.

My wife and I had a great time seeing this play. I think it was the 3rd or 4th time for the play. First time at the Maples. Nice drive through Missouri countryside for great matinee. Very professional troupe. Song and dance at its best in small town america!

We took a bus trip to see a play entitled BOEING-BOEING at the theatre. The play was awesome and we had a meal before the play, which was also great. The caliber of the performance was A+. The people who run the theater were outstanding. What a great experience.

Was pleasantly surprised as our church group had tickets for "Anything Goes". Didn't know what to expect, but came away having thoroughly enjoyed myself. Maples uses professional actors and it shows. I won't try and make this a theatrical review as I do not have the expertise. The music was excellent and the dancing even better. Was espeicially impressed how they pulled the dancing off on a small stage. The theatre can hold several hundred people and it was about 50% filled. However, the enthusiastic audience made up for lack of a full house, espeically with the rousing show stopper number, "Anything Goes" immediately before the intermission. The sound was excellent and never had a problem with not hearing any lines or singing.

If you love old theatres, you will love this one. The Royal Theater was build in 1889.

As an extra, patrons could order a dessert to enjoy during intermission. Our choices this night was peach or mixed berry cobble a la mode.

We will definitely be back. The arts are alive and well in Macon, Mo.
