Murder Mystery and Stay at the Inn (Winter/Ice Storm)
Jan 2020
I booked the Friday night murder mystery and one night in the Inn. When you check in - go to the bar area. There are only a limited number of rooms. We stayed in #7 - it is suppose to be haunted. The clicking in the bathroom - wind hitting the ceiling vent. The lights did flicker but I think that maybe a short somewhere. Room was HUGE but walls are very thin! Ear plugs are supplied for each room. All rooms are on the 3rd floor. Murder mystery was on 2nd floor. Appetizers not so good, dinner was amazing. It had salad, baby potatoes, ham, roast beef and homemade horseradish sauce. Two free drinks with the meal. If you aren't a big wine person - do the free sampling. I never drink white wine but LOVED the Sorelle Dolci - bought some for home. Murder mystery - we met some great people. We were the "party table". About 10 people read roles for the mystery. Quiet time is 10 pm - in your room. Murder mystery ends at 9:00ish, bar closes at 8. Not really any place to party/hang out/socialize after. This would be an excellent place in the summer. The staff were so nice. Thank you Hailey for your patience! The Owner is hands on and did an excellent job of renovating the Winery. Lots of detail - most older places have paint slapped on the old wood and it is done as cheap as possible - Nope! A lot was salvaged and preserved nicely. Owner welcomes you to look around building and be nosey. We love the history of the building. This is a hidden gem in Liberty. This would be a beautiful place for a wedding or event. We will be back to buy more Sorelle and stay again. Next time we do ghost tour so we can see buildings next door.

Enjoy Wine, History, and Architecture in One Stop
Dec 2019 • Friends
Belvoir Winery and Inn is a great place to visit! In addition to being a winery showcasing several Missouri grapes, the winery is part of the Odd Fellows Home complex with its unique history dating back to 1900. The winery offers free wine tastings and several rooms to relax in while enjoying your wine selection and a view of the grounds. Highly recommend a visit if in the area!

Great facility, even better wine!
Apr 2019 • Friends
I visited the winery for a ghost hunt weekend event. I'm not much of a wine drinker, but we had a tasting and the staff was very informative. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the wind and took a bottle home with me. Our group had several events in the main building. Each room was well appointed and the Belvoir staff was very helpful and friendly. I recommend dinner there, wine tasting, or a stay. While I wasn't able to lodge there, my friends who did loved it.

Haunted?
May 2019 • Family
Rumor has it that this winery is haunted. I don't know if that's true I didn't feel anything, but what I did feel is that this is some of the best wine I've ever had. I tasted seven different wines and left with all seven! I have never done that before. The staff was accommodating and lots of fun. I will return, and I live in Minnesota! Next time I'll stay overnight and no it's not that it's haunted it's that the rooms are beautiful and it makes you feel you've been transported to an old-time era which to me is quite enchanting. The grounds are beautiful and is a destination place for weddings. This winery is filled with such rich history that I want a whole day there just to take it all in. If you come for an hour as I did, you will feel cheated.

Great old building
Apr 2019 • Friends
They have a long way to go to be finished. What they have accomplished is very nice. Glad to see someone is saving the old building. What a rich history. They have pictures on the wall of how it looked it in early 1900's. Most everyone took advantage of the wine tasting and had a great time.

Neat place to tour the grounds, winery and a hotel!
Mar 2019 • Couples
We went to try their wines - they have a good variety from dry to sweet in both red and white. They’ve updated the main building and turned the 3rd floor into a hotel.

The staff was friendly and helpful and we were able to walk around the building and grounds, definitely a lot of history (they have a one room “museum” of sorts.

Truly Enjoyable!
Mar 2019 • Family
I hosted a an event here (baby shower) for my son & daughter in law, afterwards afew of us went ahead & stayed overnight.
We really loved the laid back atmosphere & historical value of this place!
The event room was spacious & quite nice.
The rooms were incredibly clean as well as comfy.
I have not one criticism or complaint about Belvoir or the staff as everything was great!
All that being said, we did have a series of bizarre run ins with another guest group lol.
A small paranormal group repeatedly walked into our event room while doing research & then told us that we were trespassing when we went out to the parking lot at one point. When we advised them that we were paying guests they then stated that we weren’t allowed to leave our rooms that evening because they were “working”.
It was more comical than anything & we simply chose to do as we pleased regardless so it didn’t impact our stay in a negative way at all.

Beautiful location with many things to do. Don't forget a glass of wine!
Feb 2019 • Couples
How can you go wrong here? You can't. First, let's start off with the obvious. This is a winery so it should be judged on the wine, right? Almost every time I drive by this place, I get my wife a bottle of wine. If you are staying, have a glass or bottle in the bar or adjacent room. They have small meat and cheese plates you can order to have some food with your drink. We love the wine. Next, there are many other things to do at this location including murder mystery dinners, ladies nights out, paranormal adventures, plus more. You can find something to do here. With permission, you can walk around the outside of the grounds (the inside of the buildings are dangerous, old, and decaying). Always remember to get permission first as it is trespassing. This place also holds weddings and receptions so if you're looking for an upscale place to hold your event, you can host it here. I did mention the paranormal and my wife and I have had several amazing adventures at this place. Finally, Belvoir now has an Inn where you can sleep the night at a haunted location. The rooms are amazingly spacious and cozy. There is a small breakfast in the morning of dry items. To end this review I'll discuss the people. Every single person I have come in contact at Belvoir has a smile on their face, is very pleasant, and wants you to have a good time. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this location.
