Nice clean, well manicured campground even with the rains they had earlier there! Great folks to deal with! Stayed three nights and was going to float the forth day but we had rains that brought the river up but had fun catching some smallmouth on the niangua two days prior! Highly recommend! Am looking forward to booking again! Geoff Penrod NC Missouri

This is our favorite place to camp when floating the Niangua. The campground is clean, right next to the water, and the owners are fantastic to work with! This is NOT a party place. They are very family friendly and keep their facilities clean.
They are very reasonable on cost and their equipment is always in tip-top shape!

Whenever we float the Niangua, this is the place we stay. It's great for families. No need to worry about having unexpected opportunities to explain the birds and bees to your children here. For the most part, the campers have a sense of decorum. There are campsites that are on the river side available if you want to see the river first thing in the morning. There's also a port-a-potty if you choose a site away from the shower house.
Ever been camping and need to be near the shower house because you have young'ns that might need to use the bathroom and don't get any sleep b/c the light from the shower house doubles as the bat signal? Yeah, no worries here. you can see the shower house, but the light is just bright enough for you to locate it.
Maggards is the only campsite that I've seen on the river that has an alcove for the kids to play in so you don't have to worry about them floating off in the current. We spent some time catching minnows in a $store net. We had fun!
This place is wonderful. We'll stay here as long as the hubby allows.

Love the owners, good people, have known them and floated here since the 1980s. Campground is one of the best for shade, views of the river, and access to the river. Bennett to here is perfect length for a float.

How is the water level right now for a float trip? Looking to go Labor Day weekend.
