About
Paradise Parasail has been providing family fun on Lake Ozark since 1983. We have time-proven experience and safety you can trust. Our experienced USCG captains will give you the safest and most adventurous flight on vessels that speed along miles of shoreline. After harnessing adventure-takers into the smiley face chute, the wind naturally hoists riders aloft while the 600 foot line sails up above the water. Once capturing the astonishing views, you will have the option to take pleasure in a variety of free fall dips. Select a relaxing dip that just allows your toes to touch the water or a thrilling free fall that gets you soaked. When you are visiting Lake of the Ozarks, we guarantee the best ride anywhere. So make sure it's Paradise Parasail!

I cannot recommend this experience highly enough! The crew Bob, Cole and Tomi were super friendly and fun from start to end. Captain Justin really elevates the experience with quick wit, infectious energy and obvious expertise in his field. The boats and equipment were all very clean and clearly well maintained. We did the deluxe flight with multiple dips. Captain Justin knew we were looking for a big thrill and definitely delivered! He even noted that his goal was to "wake up" my sleepy teenager and by the end she was screaming with delight. They took several great polaroids of us during liftoff and have a LIFETIME half off deal if you bring it back for a subsequent flight. We will definitely be back next year!

My family and I were recently on a vacation to the Lake of the Ozarks and first time visitors. Growing up, my father told me many stories of visiting Paradise Parasail, a business that his best friend had worked at many summers in the 1990’s. His friend has since passed away, but the stories of this place and my Dad’s many visits to it have lived on. My Dad has had a Paradise Parasail hat on his own boat for probably 30 years now that he still wears. So naturally, I absolutely had to make this a stop of ours sometime during our trip and pick up a souvenir.
We made it by Paradise Parasail yesterday and I was able to pick up a shirt for my Dad, the perfect Father’s Day gift. Unfortunately, when I made it back to our hotel, I found in the bag a youth XL instead of the adult XL that I had requested. I called the company and spoke with Andrea to explain the mixup and ask if I could return before we left town this morning and exchange the shirt. First, Andrea apologized profusely for the mix-up. Next, she stated that she would be happy to drive the shirt over to our hotel after her shift ended at 5:30pm. I felt terrible as our hotel was over 20 minutes away from Paradise Parasail, but she insisted she make it right. Sure enough, Andrea drove the shirt over to me yesterday evening!
I am sad to say that we did not parasail during our trip. I wish we had had time, but our trip was for a youth baseball tournament and we had a jam packed schedule. That said, I absolutely had to share this story with potential customers of this business. Andrea went completely out of her way to make it right, and all I did was buy a $20 t-shirt for my Dad. This is ABOVE AND BEYOND customer service! I can only imagine how well our parasailing trip would have gone with this wonderful company had we been able to make it on the lake this trip. I wanted to be sure to give Andrea a shout out and also this amazing company for “making it right” and also making my Dad’s Father’s Day amazing this year! Your kindness did not go unnoticed and is so appreciated!!

The boat crew was friendly and fun to work with. The girls at the front desk made the check in process was fast and efficient. We had a great time! So glad we took the time out of our trip to fly with you!
My only recommendation would be to make the checkout process a little quicker and more efficient. We were one of the first "flights" out in the morning, so by the time we came back in, there were many groups coming in and the desk staff was getting a little swamped.

Until we boarded the parasail boat, it was all great. Front desk ladies were extremely pleasant to deal with. Shuttle boat captain was super nice.
I did not like the attitude of the two men on parasail boat: condescending jokes and they appeared to be bored from doing this over and over although it was not even afternoon. After the experience, there is subtle but still pressure to tip - you are still on the boat in the middle of the lake at the mercy of these two men and one of them is looking over your shoulder as you are asked to complete the form which has nothing else but three options for tipping: 10, 15, or 20%. It is unclear what to do if you do not want to tip. If you decide that your experience was not worth tipping, be prepared to show some resistance here.
The parasailing experience itself if very mediocre. You are in the air and do not feel any speed most of the time because the boat is making circles around you. We signed up for the top package which was supposed to be 4 miles, but it was either misleading or not true at all. During landing, the gear moved and I was stuck in a very uncomfortable position and had to strain my arms to pull myself up and stay somewhat comfortable and not hurt myself.
We got two pictures since we paid for the top package and they were of very bad quality: on one of them my friend’s face is not even visible.
I do not think that this experience is worth paying $99 which is most likely what you end up paying.

What a fun time! It’s exhilarating and the view of the lake and surrounds is fantastic! I actually got to go twice…once with my daughter and r-year-old grandson, and once with my husband. The captain and crew were professional, keenly focused on safety, and wanted to make sure we had fun. We will definitely be back for more fun next year! (If you get the photo pkg. and bring it with you, you get the next flight for half price - forever!) thanks, Paradise Parasail!

My fiancé and I were excited to take our 6 year old son on a kayaking trip. He was excited at first as well until he got on and started to feel very afraid of being on the choppy water and started to cry. The owner was very kind and caring to our son and tried to ease his nerves. He was still terrified and refused to go out so the owner took a family picture of us & let our son hang with him and another worker by the shore with a life vest and pool noodle while my fiancé and paddled out a couple minutes to try to show him that it was safe. When he still had no interest we called it a day. The owner generously refunded us for the single kayak and only charged us 10 dollars for the double, since we only went out about 5 minutes. We will definitely be trying them again the next time we are in the Ozarks, either alone or with our son if he’s feeling a little braver :)

My 72 y.o. Husband and my 66 y.o. self thoroughly enjoyed parasailing above the Lake of the Ozarks with Paradise! Thrilling, yet we felt totally safe. We had a dry takeoff & landing back on the boat but had opportunity to dip our toes in the water during the 3 mi flight. Views from a couple hundred feet up were spectacular! Their crews were very proficient at getting us signed up, rigged up, and up in the air with little wait time and great attitudes! Loved this activity & got some fun pics.

My wife and two daughters paid $90 each for what was promised to be a 3 - 4 mile parasail ride that included two dips in the water. The ride lasted at best 7-8 minutes. Our Harbour Towne condo was literally 1 mile west of the Paradise’s dock. I waited there to video tape them. To no avail, the Paradise boat never traveled west enough from their dock for me to even video tape them.

Thank you for the feedback regarding your experience at Paradise. I can imagine your frustration in wanting to record your family from a location down the lake, and not seeing them fly by. Our licensed captains are very experienced in flying parasails, and the direction and flight patterns they fly are based on the current wind speed, wind direction, and combined weight of the passengers. Our number one goal is always safety. They do not fly in a straight line down the lake. Next time feel free to ask your captain on board for any special requests and he will do his best to accommodate if his wind direction allows him to safely do so. Also, keep in mind you are welcome to come along on the boat as a spectator for an even closer video of the adventure.

Our family went to paradise parasail and went back 3 more times during our vacation. The staff was amazing, friendly and made us feel more like friends than just a customer. My granddaughters fell in love with captain Tim. He was personal and made the ride to the parasailing boat an adventure. After returning home, my granddaughters are still talking about Tim and how they wished he lived here in Topeka Kansas and how they hope he never forgets them. This place was the highlight of our vacation not only because of the actual activities of parasailing but because of the staff. We can’t wait to go back. Until next time…

This was a great experience all the way around. We had a 2:00 reservation and it was exactly 2:00 when we left the dock. All the workers were pleasant and helpful. Captain Mike took great care of this rickety old lady, making sure I boarded and disembarked safely. Be forewarned that you make an on the water transfer from the shuttle boat to the fly boat. The organization and attention to detail made this fairly effortless. The boat trip in and out was almost as good as the flying!

Can you still parasail the last of October at the lake? Like the last week?
Written August 21, 2015
Our last day of the Summer 2015 season will be Labor Day, September 7th. We may stay open later in future seasons, but it is not in the plans for this current year.
Thanks,

Yes, you can parasail. All takeoffs and landings are done from the back of the boat. In the unlikely event of a mechanical malfunction all participants are required to wear life jackets while parasailing. Anyone can fly, including the young, old, and someone with special needs. We are happy to safely accommodate everyone. If you can sit, you can fly. Our FAQ page on our website answers this questions plus many more. Be sure and check it out!
