A friend and I were visiting Kansas City, and we wanted a tour. We always wanted to try a Segway tour and never did, so now was the perfect time--especially with Coronavirus. Without anymore thinking, we booked the tour for that night from 6-8pm. Our tour guide Kelly was kind, thoughtful, and caring. Being on a Segway for the first time was a little freaky, but Kelly always had her eyes on us, so I felt safe. I would recommend this 100x over. Taking the tour in the evening was my favorite because we got to see the sunset and all the lights come on. My only suggestion is to wear really comfy shoes!

We decided to give this a try while on a mini vacation with our friends, after a little getting used to the workings off the Segways we were off. All 4 of us were newbies to start with but soon became very comfortable, the interesting outdoor art exhibits were awesome and Kelly our guide did a good job of telling us some highlights during each stop. Definitely had a great time and made some good memories with our friends, we did a lot of things on this trip but we are happy we included this as one of them!

We recently took a Segway Tour of Kansas City's Arts District with Kyle as our guide. Most importantly the tour was a wonderful and positive adventure. We would seek additional tours Kyle had to offer in the future.
Kyle was thorough in his demonstration and assistance as we familiarized ourselves with the Segway's operation. In addition to the instruction, Kyle previewed our planned route and provided and checked for understanding the safety signals prior to our departure from the Segway facility.
Throughout the tour Kyle was well versed on the points of interest along our route. He was knowledgeable of the site, its history, impact by personalities, and any future plans.
Kyle provided "long runs" between points of interest while keeping a watchful eye and adequate questions regarding our stamina. He provided ample rest stops which allowed us to take in the surrounding area's architecture and landscaping.
It was an absolutely wonderful experience. Thank you so very much Kyle!

We we're very unstable at the start of training to ride the Segway and very comfortable by the time training ended. The tour was varied in locations to see and terrain to drive over. Defiantly area's we would not have found on our own.

My family had a great time on this tour. Kelly and Joey did a great job teaching us how to use the segways and gave so much information on the tour about the art. It was a lot of fun and highly recommend it.

I have long had an aversion to any mode of locomotion that did not have mechanical brakes. If it were not for this fear, I might have long ago become a champion roller skater, skier, ice skater, or surfer.
Thus, it was with a bit of apprehension that I signed up for Segway Bike & Stroll. Yet, within minutes, Kelly had my group and I safely, confidently, and agilely moving around on our Segways. (Only one person in our tourist group of three had been on a Segway before.)
If you are new to this city and go on this tour, I guarantee that you will most likely (1) fall in love with the beauty of Kansas City and (2) want to start going on other Segway tours as you travel to major cities around the world.

A Segway tour is a different and fun way to see a city. I learned a lot about the sculptures, fountains, and architecture in Kansas City. Our tour guide, Patrick was great! I especially liked that he gave our group time to just have fun riding the segways in big open areas. I highly recommend trying this Segway tour.

We went on a segway tour with our family and really enjoyed it. Seeing parts of the city we were not familiar with was a lot of fun. Kyle was a great guide, teaching us how to safely ride and sharing his knowledge with us.

We got to see a lot of nice art, as well as a nice shopping / touristy area. Kelly was a great guide. She shared a lot of information about local history as well as the history about sites we visited. She was funny and nice as well.

Kyle was our guide and he did a great job. He's knowledgeable and just a down to earth good guy. We had a short practice session and, at first, wondered if we were actually ready to hit the pavement. To our surprise, we were ready and we enjoyed every minute of it.
We highly recommend this to anyone wanting to do something fun and unusual.

Is this company still in business as of July 2021? I have tried to reach them via phone, messenger and e-mail for a week. I have a question regarding the difference between the two segway tours.

All I have is flip flops .. Will they let me still take the seaway tour?

Yikes! I need to improve my response time to Trip Advisor questions.
Flip-flops are permitted, as are other types of sandals. For the safest and most confident ride, we highly prefer/recommend flat, close-toed shoes or at least a sports sandal with multiple straps that is secure on your foot. Shoes with any kind of heel can be awkward in learning how to ride a Segway.

The minimum weight is indeed 100 lbs. It takes that much weight on the platform of the Segway to have it responding to the rider correctly. Also, with younger ones (say under 12 years old or so), you need to consider their motor skills, their ability to respond quickly and MOST OF ALL, their ability to immediately and thoroughly follow directions AT ALL TIMES.
