Nice place to go visit and craft your heart away for an hour. Mostly good for littler children. Great artwork and books and Work areas laid out with ample space. Free. And you get to have a blast as a bonus.

We took a 9 year old and she had a great time creating arts and crafts at all the station. Actually, we had fun too. What we liked best was the puzzle station: draw or paint on a blank cardboard, then run it through the...More

The free experience let’s children create art similar to what the Halmmark greeting card company creates. The Hallmark visitors center is next door. I recommend both!

We took our 2 1/2 year old granddaughter there for an adventure and it did not disappoint! They had crafts for children of all ages and the best part is that it is free. Thank you Hallmark for this service — we will go again!

Yes, it is first come, first serve. There is no entry fee. I think they run it by sessions...in other words I think you can get in line and get in 2 or 3 different times each day. (We got there before 9:00 a.m. and just... More

Kaleidoscope Apartments (22 Replies)
Hi. I am looking at a New York apartment in the holiday rental section of Trip Advisor (unfortunately it does not have a rating). It is with a company called Kaleidoscope.com. It looks legitimate but with all the scams around it is difficult to be sure. Does anybody know if this is a good company to deal with. Thanks

If the apartment is listed in New York city without even seeing it the likely answer is that it is either a scam or illegal. TA does not vet these listings and the company may exist but the apartment surely could be not legit. Bottom line rent a hotel room or an apartment style hotel room
My son's packed and ready but I can't stop laughing (21 Replies)
I laughed really hard last night when I opened my 4 1/2 year old son Ben’s backpack that he packed for the trip. I'm pretty sure I'm traveling with McGuyver. We leave tomorrow for our 23 day adventure on Maui. This will be my son's 3rd trip to Maui and he's already shared with me all the things we "have to do". This year I decided to let him pack his own backpack for the plane of things he'll want to have with him on the island. It made me giggle Ben’s Backpack for Maui •...More

Staying in Manhattan- Vacation Rentals (34 Replies)
Hello, I am staying in mahattan for a first time next month. We are ready to rent a studio for a few days from Kaleidoscope rentals. they sent pics and the location of the unit. Is this a good company? Is it a scam? They have a website and seem to have a good amount of information on nice units in the heart of Manhattan. Please let us know... if anyone has guidance.

Never heard of them. Post a link if you want more input. Do they have an address and landline telephone number?
