We saw Rogue One here and really enjoyed the comfy seats that recline. The prices were reasonable for a big city and a free parking ramp was close by. I would recommend going to a movie here.

I really like the VIP Room. It's great for a date night. They have big, comfortable leather seats in an intimate setting. It's like having a private screening. The seats are only 6.25 for a 5 pm showing on a Friday. There are assigned seats and you can order food and drinks including alcohol which they will bring to your seats. There is also a nice view of the Plaza from part of the theater area.

We see all of our movies at Cinemark. You cannot beat the prices of the tickets. Plus there are weekly coupons that can be used in conjunction with discount combos. There is also an option of purchasing a reusable popcorn bucket and drink cup.

This can be a gathering place for people that can be a bit rough. The theater is nice but be careful if you attend an evening movie.

My wife and I have not been to this movie theater for many years. The Country Club Plaza is a well-known upscale shopping area. But we could not believe how filthy this theater is. Even the treads of the escalators have embedded dirt in them. Rest rooms are dirty, not maintained. Hallways not swept, debris here and there. But projection and sound was fine.

If you happen to go to this theater, and the movie you want to see has the VIP option...TAKE IT! This may be the best theater experience you will ever have. The seats are more comfortable than your own home recliner, with only about 50 or so seats. I wish I could watch a movie like this every time.

Who would have guessed this theater in the heart of Kansas City’s poshest shopping district also has one of the area’s best first-run movie ticket price values? Cinemark Palace at the Plaza has been there for years, but we recently rediscovered it and in doing so, learned that matinee ticket prices until 6 p.m. are just $4 for adults. This compares to matinee prices at local competitors AMC and Dickinson of $7 and $8 and AMC’s matinee rates only go into the early afternoon on weekends. Tickets for 3D shows at The Palace for matinees only add $2.75 to the basic matinee price, which still makes them less than the other theaters’ regular tickets! As result, we’ve started seeing shows at The Palace whenever possible and stopped messing with rewards clubs you have to pay to join at the other chains. The Palace is a nice place with stadium seating in every theater, a small café (which I’ve never been in) and extra touches like a painting on the ceiling above the escalator to the third floor theaters showing the night sky and folks looking up. Back in the 1980’s, the building which houses the main part of The Palace now was an indoor shopping mall called Seville Square and was full of shops and restaurants. Today, the building houses, in addition to The Palace, Brio and Noodles & Company restaurants, and just a couple of retail shops. Some architectural elements, like the escalators which take you up to the second floor box office, are left over from the mall days. The Palace’s bigger theaters, which show the most current releases, are located on the west side of Pennsylvania Street above the parking lot and are accessible via an enclosed and carpeted bridge from the second floor which used to be the pedestrian entrance from the parking lot back when this was a mall. Parking can be a little sticky, especially at the Plaza’s busy times, but there’s lots of free parking in the aforementioned lot west of Pennsylvania, just give yourself plenty of time to hunt down a space. The only other drawback is that there’s often a panhandler looking for handouts outside the main doors to the theater. But the low ticket prices have made this my favorite theater in Kansas City for current mainstream releases.

Multi screen theater with IMAX and the AMC A list program gives me 3 movies per week for $20 per month...so 12 possible movies per month for the cost of 2. Easy, convenient, worth it.

Walked by looking for a movie theater today and marquee was thanking people for their patronage over the past 26 years and referring people to other theaters in the chain.

A few years ago I was at this theater and it was evacuated. No one told us why until the next day. There was a small fire in the concession stand. THere were obviously no procedures to evacuate and it was disorganized. Luckily it was for something minor.
