I stopped at the Harley Davidson assembly plant to take the tour of the factory. Unfortunately, the tours are no longer being done since they are closing the plant mid next year. They did have a very neat video that they showed with the history...More

Went on this tour solo and it was really amazing to see the plant in action. Sadly I recently heard this plant was closing and the tour will be no more as well. Disappointed, but I'm glad I had the opportunity to go.
Unfortunately the factory tour is no longer offered due to the plant being scheduled for closure. The lobby of the factory now serves as the tour area and contains information, a short video presentation, displays, and two windows where you can see a large press...More
The Harley factory tour is one of those must see things to do for any motorcycle rider. The tour is very informative & you get a full understanding of all that goes into a new Harley. The tours fill up quickly so best to be...More
Wonderful tour, but if you want to see HD in action take the tour M-Th. The factory is open on Friday, but only maintenance and the cleaning staff are working. The factory works on 10 hour shifts M-Th. However, if you like quiet and not...More
A nice tour and it is free. The tour takes about an hour, but groups are small, so they fill up quickly. No photos allowed in the factory. A nice touch is that each person is given a little ear speaker, so easy to hear...More
This is the place to take a tour. I have never seen a plant this clean nor people so friendly and genuinely enjoying their jobs. We had a great time.

I have been trying to find information on this year's open house at the Harley Davidson factory. The website just says schedule to be posted later. Does anyone know where to find the schedule? We are only going to be in York for Saturday and don't want to miss any of the events.

KC trip last October (2 Replies)
I had the opportunity to visit KC for a few days last October and just wanted to share some quick thoughts... 1. Went on the KC Royals Stadium Tour, The Boulevard Brewery Tour(free) & the Harley Davidson Factory Tour(free). All 3 were GREAT! 2. Stayed at the Embassy Suites just north of Country Club Plaza and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel has received a lot of bad reviews here, but no complaints from me. 3. Went to the Arthur Bryants in the city. Great food and the atmosphere...More

Thank you for your trip report and I am glad you had a good time in KC. It's nice when you can do entertaining things that don't cost a fortune. I like to wander around Cabela's too, and I am nowhere near an outdoor type of person. They have some really neat stuff, though.
