Check out the exterior

We didn't go in the library but just drove by to see the giant books on the exterior of the building. The walls are painted like books with popular literary titles.

Beautiful piece of KC history

I recently attended a lecture here. The building is really historical but with all the mod cons. I didn't have much time to look around due to the lecture, but I'll definitely be going back to explore.

Calm oasis right on the streetcar line

On a rainy day we brought our 6 year old granddaughter in for a respite during a busy day of touring. She loved the children's area and we spent an hour or so reading to each other. Also love the books on the parking garage!

We were there looking into their genealogical archives and could've spent a few more hours in that section. I would've liked to have had more time overall, but it was our last stop before the airport.
