The kids section is amazing. The staff is really nice. There is plenty to do for all ages, including coloring, computers, books, events, puppets shows things. Their selection is great too. As an adult there is always a great selection and the movie vault is great! They have lots of movies and tv shows!

This was on my list of "must see" places. The parking garage is decorated with a huge mural of book spines, and the steps are concrete books! The library itself is across the street, and is classical styled but beautifully maintained. The light fixtures and the woodwork are worth seeing if you like that type of thing. If you're a... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Library. Friendly staff...loved the movie vault, enjoyed browsing the archives on the 5th floor and the 5th floor patio (there's a giant chess set!). Stopped to see the outdoor "bookshelf", and so glad we made a visit inside a priority.

Wanted to check out this library after hearing about its history and the unique features it has. Bank vault was neat, giant chess set on roof was cool too. Nice sized kids area with computers, coloring, and train tracks to put together. This was a very brief visit with my kids but would love to go back and explore on... More

Took 4 kids ages 7-12 here for the first time the other day. I had to grab a book from here the other day, had never been, and was intrigued by the architecture and the fact that this is a bank form the 1800's converted into a library. This is a really cool place! Not enough time to write a... More

We visited to see Shakespeare's First Folio and spent hours exploring. The staff was friendly and informative. The programming is exceptional. It was a lovely afternoon!

We love coming here! From the books on the parking garage to the chess pieces on the rooftop, it's a cool place to visit. Check out the vault turned movie theater and the exhibits, too. The children's area is very cool!

Call me a nerd, but I like libraries. And when visiting a new city, if the library is in a historic building, I must visit! It combines two things I love: old architecture and reading. (My son read 1000 books before Kindergarten - so it's safe to assume that we definitely are library connoisseurs!) Anyhow, you have to visit this... More

We visited to take pictures of the big books on the outside of the parking garage. We had a great time taking pics. When we ventured inside the library we were in awe of the beauty and how customer friendly everything was. My children loved playing with the giant chess board on the rooftop terrace.

Very cute exterior. It was hard to take pictures since the trees had leaves. I'm so glad I went to see it up close.
