This was a great theater. My family have been season ticket holders for the past six years. Some shows we liked more than others but we can honestly say there wasn't one that we did not like. We were so sad to see them close their doors permanently on August 25, 2013. It is definitely a loss to the Kansas... More

My brother and I went to see "Life Could Be A Dream," at American Heartland Theatre. I loved the play but actually the Theatre is very nice. For the women in the audience, there's more female bathrooms, making it nicer to get drinks and bathroom breaks at intermission. I highly recommend this play, it was a wonderful evening.

The theatre is very nice. The first show we saw here (Beer for Breakfast) was GREAT! This last show (Hound of the Baskerville) was just not our "cup of tea," as they say. We left at intermission. It was billed as a comedy/mystery, and I guess it was, but to us it was more like a British Hee-Haw! We like... More

We just saw the opening night of Hound of the Baskervilles, and really enjoyed it! Very talented cast, great set, costumes and special effects. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful, and service at the bar was quick. My only complaint is the seats - they're quite awful, especially after 45 minutes (and I'm only 5'2" tall). I have... Small intimate seating. Very comfortable with nice bar reception area. Nice crown center location. Fun live theatre. Mostly comedy.

Attended the showing of "Making God Laugh". The show was excellent and the theatre was awesome. Comfortable lounge prior to seating and plush seats in the theatre. Most reviews mention there's not a bad seat in the house... and that's true. I love live theatre and I was not disappointed with our visit.

I saw the Music Man. I am not particularly fond of this production, but they did a fantastic job. The actors were all really talented and the band was full of excellent musicians. I did this on the last night of a business trip and really found that it was a great way to remember Kansas City. It was so... More

This is a great little theater right in Crown Center. The shows are good and there really isn't a bad seat in the place. The staff is great and you are even allowed to bring food and drinks purchased from the bar into the theater. They also validate your parking ticket for Crown Center's garage so parking is free. We've... More

We saw the show BINGO on August 11. I really like the small feel of the AHT. There is really not a bad seat in the house and the seats are comfy but lacking leg room. If every show was to my liking, I would go to all of the shows offered at this theatre. I have not tried the... More
