We've seen several performances and events at the Kauffman and have thoroughly enjoyed them all! Very comfortable seating and the view is fabulous from almost any seat!

Took the wife to see the performance. First time at the beautiful center. Definitely worth a few return visits. I will keep an eye out for future performances. Parking and entering the facility was simple. There is a little construction in the downtown area, so...More

I took my wife to the Nutcracker Ballet for her birthday. We've been to performances in other cities before, but this had to be the best that we've ever seen. The set was amazing, the live orchestra was incredible, and the dancing was awesome. The...More

I work with symphony orchestras throughout the country and around the world. I am privileged to work in some beautiful performing arts centers. Some rooms simply sound better than others. This room is amazing. It doesn't hurt that the symphony is stellar as well. The...More

When to see Wizard which my grand-daughter was a youth ballet performer. Seats were outstanding and center personnel were very accommodating. We were able to gain better seats during intermission to better see my grand-daughter's performance.

Each auditorium is unique in design and decor. Love the Kauffman because it is easy in and out. Might be a bit confusing in figuring out which auditorium you belong in, but oh the experience! Only rated 4 out of 5 stars because of the...More

I've attended several Lyric Opera events here. You feel like you are in a whole new world whether it's day or evening--the way the glass windows show off the surrounding area and the expansive feel of the huge lobby. Beautiful!

The Kauffman has two main theaters, and both of them are gorgeous, but what is really wonderful is the huge glass view of downtown KC, especially at night! They have performances pretty much nightly, so you'll have plenty of different options to choose from.

I would strongly recommend it. Parking is limited and you could pay at time of parking if spaces are available, but pre-paying by buying on-line is your best bet. You could also do street parking but i would not recommend it

Accomodations near Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts (5 Replies)
We will be travelling to KC July 13th for a concert at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. We would like to stay within walking distance of the Kauffman Center. I'm not too worried about the price for the one night we will be staying so any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks!

I haven't been to the arts center so I have no idea what's nearby. I suggest you call them and see what they suggest.
