nice fun city area

What a nice fun city area. Lots of newish bars, clubs and restaurants. Remodeled old buildings and lots of good walking areas.

Just moved to Kansas City, and had heard about the free Hot Country Nights concerts at Power and Light. Entire complex is owned by an out of area individual, so although prices vary between venues, most are higher in Power and Light than establishments in areas not too far away. Went last week hung out at McFaddens, had a great... More

We took the tram from the Westin, first to tour the entire route and later to return to the district for dinner. Regretfully Sunday night has limited options compared to earlier in the day, that was our mistake. The district is a fascinating resurrection of a part of town that would be in shambles in many other cities. They have... More

Went to sprint. Wanted to grab a bite to eat in way out so we went to p and L. But never made it in. I had a little tiny small pocket Knie clipped in my pocket. The local security guard said " can't come in with that" I told him it is ok. I am a professional. Words were... More

First visit and came on a Thursday night mostly to check it out. It just so happened that there was a concert in the center plaza and the place was packed. I loved how all of the restaurants surrounding the plaza were open to the plaza and were serving adult beverages or providing a place for food and drink and... More

In the heat of the summer, find a watering hole close by and let the sun go down before wandering out. There is much to see and do. Alot of different kinds of music. Games to be played. Just a fun relaxing time.

The boyfriend and I visited Kansas City for the first time together. It was a quick weekend trip and we drove from OKC. Our hotel is a short walk from the power and light district. It really is a cool spot to visit! There are several bars and restaurants surrounding an outdoor veranda. It is the party place to visit!!!!... More

We went down there on a Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night. It is THE place to be in KC. We tried drinks at several places and ate at BRGR. There is live music in the KC Live area and there were tons of people and great music. Don't miss hanging out here if you are in KC.

Its amazing to see what happens when savyy investors can to to an old unused area - convert it to a location like this. Its the place to be on a Saturday night, or maybe any night in KC. You can drink, play, eat watch, most of all - just have fun in here. Good for all ages - well... More

I travel to KC 12-15 times a year and never have I been so disappointed in a concert venue as I was for The Lumineers concert on June 10th at Power and Light District. If I would've stuck with the initial general admission tickets that I bought, I may have enjoyed it much more. Three days before the event I... More
