Other than the unique fountains, the Ewing and Muriel Kauffman Memorial Garden is the perfect thing to do after lunch or dinner or when you have an extra hour to kill. This is a small garden, but it provides lovely spaces to sit and talk or read, and throughout the year, the garden reflects the plants of those season. Inside,... More

This is a wonderful memorial garden for Ewing and Muriel Kaufman (former owner of the KC Royals). There is an arbortoruem and a large outside garden as well. It is well maintained, plants changed seasonally throughout the year.

A beautiful quiet garden in the heart of the city, also the final resting place for Ewing and Muriel Kauffman, the original owners of the Royals and two of KC's greatest philanthropists. Open from dawn to dusk, it's a great break in the day if you are driving by.

You would have think of the Missouri side of Kansas City being completely urban, however, places like this become beautiful retreats in the middle of it all. This is a difficult place to describe. While not being a botanical garden the flora thrive year round in this grand space. It's difficult not to become instantly tranquil with a butterfly there... More

This garden is a part of Powell Gardens and refreshed regularly during the seasons and beautiful all year round. Love to visit here and sit and listen to the birds. Get ideas for our garden and just stroll. And it is free!

I found this by searching for "Kansas City places to go" on Google. I am a Royals fan and for some reason was not aware this existed. It is a beautiful flower garden, well worth the time to come see.

A gorgeous little stop while traveling through Kansas City. The gardens are free and open to the public. A quiet, beautiful little stop.

This is a peaceful, lovely, small garden. Beautifully maintained. Boasts seasonal plantings. Many of the plants are labeled and easy to see up close. Good place to see how mature plants look. Good source of inspiration for your own garden -- color schemes, textures, vines, bushes, small trees, ground covers & more. The water features, ponds & walkways are lovely.... More

We had no idea this garden was in the Country Club Plaza area. We were out for an early morning jog and came across it. It was a very pleasant 30 minute detour. My husband said we have to go back with a camera next time because the gardens were so beautiful and he wants to document some of his... More

This is a beautiful small garden. It is an excellent first date spot and I believe they perform marriages there.
