We went with four of our kids, 2 teenagers and 2 tweens.
Fascinating place. If you have a lot of patience and time you can stand and read about each of the mind bending displays and how the illusion works in our brain. All my kids wanted to do was view each display really fast and not learn about the science of it.
If only took us about 30 minutes to go through the whole "museum". It is not big at all. Just a small little building in the corner of Union Station.
Employees were nice and helpful.
Not necessarily worth the money we paid for it, but I was happy to let me kids do something like this as we do not have one where we live.

Might be more fun for kids. The staff were helpful at taking pictures if asked. They had a small gift shop mostly of wooden brain-teaser puzzles. The biggest problem we had was finding it, as it is located inside Union Station on the basement floor.

This place was really cheesy for us, we were not impressed. There were small rooms set up with props so that you could take your pictures however you wished. Some of the rooms and some of the props were kind of silly and cheesy. I went with my 11 son, he was not enthused. This place is either for a group of young teens that are willing to get downright goofy. Maybe a family with kids 7 and younger. Or maybe a couple, but I would not suggest first free dates, you may feel awkward doing this with people you don’t know well. A couple that has no problem laughing with themselves and at each other. The idea was cool. Would go back to something like this; they just need to think harder about their themes and bring in better props.

The illusions and displays there are pretty cool and trippy. However, it was much smaller than we expected. I think we were able to go through the whole thing in about 30-45 minutes. If you visit Union Station and have some time to spare, it's definitely worth the visit.

This museum is a little bit small but it's super fun! There were several that is really surprised us. We thought it was awesome to get to try the different illusions. Our favorite two were the room of distorted sizes, and the room that tricks you into thinking you're spinning!

Booked an appointment! Got down there ahead of time and still could not find 1 parking spot in the lot, nor the garage or the street. Super busy. No problem, so I tried to reschedule online but the site Would not allow me to complete a reschedule, so o called, and called and called smh at least 20 times and not one person answered the phone… only wanting to inquire about a reschedule! Or my money paid back in full. Very unpleasant experience dealing with a business you cant reach to find a solution…

A colleague and I had a little extra time in Kansas City before catching a plane home. We went to Union Station to look around and stumbled upon the Museum of Illusion. We thoroughly enjoyed it and had a lot of laughs. The young ladies working we're very informative and even came and took pictures of us.

This place was so fun, even more fun than we expected! They have so many different illusions and explain what each is and how it works. There’s also some games throughout and photo ops. It would be fun for adults and kids as well. Definitely recommend giving this place a visit while in KC. And it’s inside the historical union station so there’s a lot to see and do in there!

This was a fun find while visiting Union Station. There is actually a lot to see. Some reviewers mentioned it isn't very big for the price, but there are a lot of displays. They just don't require that much room. We had a blast (family of three, including 19 y.o. son). The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful!! I recommend it for any age!

This is a hidden gem inside Union Station. The place is small, but holds interesting experiences. You can get a lot of social media photos here. New profile picture. New cover photo. Instagram pics.
