I enjoy taking my kids there. It's a great place to walk and take your time. You definitely don't want to rush through it, unless you are looking to get a good power walk in. Africa, which I believe is the farthest section is huge, so if you have small kids, maybe be ready to get trolley tickets. Getting there... More

African section like being in the actual savannah, except one walks or takes the ski lift versus safari jeep. Really well done continental sections. Great place to walk if you are trying to get in 10000 steps+.

We go multiple times through out the year. We are annual friends of the zoo members which can be used at multiple zoos across the US. It is very spacious so bring walking shoes and plan accordingly because it can get very hot and humid in KC but the zoo is a must for those traveling to KC, the price... More

It's not the most impressive Zoo that I have been to but it is my hometown zoo and I will support it. It is A LOT of walking due to being so spread out but there are plenty of animals from all over the world to see.

Great zoo. The kangaroo area is nice - and lets you interact with them. It is quite spread out so be sure to bring a stroller.

Have taken my kids there many times over the years for fun and field trips for school! The zoo has really improved over the last few years with new exhibits for A Polar bear and Penguins! Can't wait to see what else they do over the years!

This is way bigger than you would think. It's a great zoo with a lot to see and do. Really hot during the summer.

This zoo has in the past had its challenges. But today, the staff and new cages, are good for the animals. I have seen beautiful animals living in a good environment.

I'm a little biased to this zoo but it is definitely a great zoo! It is very large so wear walking shoes. Exhibits are big and natural, would like to see more stuff for animals in their exhibits even if it doesn't look natural it's nice to see them be interactive. I don't recommend this zoo in temps below 45,... More
