The ones I saw were very beautiful - reminded me of Europe. But, based on the hype, I expected many more of them, Perhaps I did not get around enough. Would be cool of KC produced a "fountian map"!

There are fountains everywhere! Gorgeous detail and unique designs. Challenge yourself by walking around the UMKC campus and the Country Club plaza and see how many you can count.

Our guide said there were more OPERATING fountains than Rome, and more fountains than any city other than Rome. I believe it. Lovely and interesting. I want to learn more.

So fabulous and dramatic that you'd think you were in Rome. The city looks very prosperous and is elegant.

It really did remind me of Seville, Spain. I loved all of the shopping around the area. The hours are not great and many stores close early but the restaurants are open. We went to the cheesecake factory and enjoyed dessert outside in the beautiful...More

Kansas City has great fountains with wonderful statues over much of the Plaza area with so many places to enjoy while you're viewing them.

There is a map available on the fountains. Look at them and check which way the light is coming from so you know the best time to shoot. (Go to the Arabia museum. Fascinating look at the past)
