always a must stop while in KC
Aug 2021 • Couples
We used to live in Parkville and made this a weekly shopping experience. Now that we're not in the area, we plan a monthly trip up.
Dim Sum on the weekends at Bo Ling's
Stocking up on red pepper paste, seasonings and fillo dough at the Al Habashi market
Wandering the fresh food vendors to get some great deals on fresh veggies and fruits.
Great food options from around the world all within three blocks!!!
Arabia Musuem great for hot or bad weather days!

Expensive farmers market
Jun 2021 • Couples
Some of the restaurants were closed. Fruits and vegetables were way over priced compared to other markets we’ve been to.
Not what we expected, but it was still fun to stop by.

Enjoy this market!!
Jun 2021 • Family
This is the best city market/farmers market we have ever been to. Don’t miss this market. Parking could be better but it was worth it.

Spend a few hours
Mar 2021
Put on your walking shoes, and enjoy the outdoors, but also the indoors. Plenty to look at and plenty to buy.

Great and unique sensory experience
Aug 2020
A super interesting and sensory stimulating place. Amazing sights, smells, products, shops etc. Go here if you want to really feel local energy and culture and if you want to experience a very unique outing.

Hang out together
Jul 2020
Loved visiting this market, the ambiance and food was great too. Visit Carollo's City Market Grill and if you are vegetarian there are tons of other options around too. Loved the woodwork especially - great place to visit and hang out. Opposite some interesting African clothing and the steamboat wheel. A fun place to stop/shop.

Diversity of cultural food is great.
Jun 2020
Okay, going into this we knew what this would be like. Unique little shops and places to eat. The diversity of cultural food is splendid. We each chose a different place to eat. Some liked their meal while others were disappointed. Pigwich, Taste of Brazil, and Tikka House were the restaurants that members of our group ate at. Pigwich was disappointing for three people. The fries had been made ahead of time and sat around until needed. The sandwiches were just okay. Taste of Brazil and Tikka House were good, based on the others feedback.
The soda and spice shops were our favorite. We left with 12 bottles of goofy and weird pop. The spice shop had a lot of open containers of different spices to smell and purchase.
Unfortunately, the farmers market was not open on the weekday we went. However, there was one produce vendor open.
On the day we went, Wednesday, parking was easy to find and free. For something to do and stroll through, City Market is worth the visit. Masks were optional for visitors but vendor required.

A fun Saturday stop
Jun 2019
I haven't been to the City Market for many years and it has grown quite a bit since then. There are a lot of vendors and plenty of things to chose from but its very crowded and parking is really dismal. I am glad we went but I doubt we go back very often due to the amount of work it takes to get parked.

Nice place, great farmers market
Dec 2019 • Friends
This place is located close to the river. Also this is one of the terminal stations for KC tram. We went the weekend of Thanksgiving. Got very lucky with the weather. Also there was additional performance - carols and Christmas songs. A lot of places to buy local products, art, spices, fruit and vegetable, etc.

So many choices to eat at. Doesn’t disappoint. We ate gumbo and had beignets. Will be back next trip to KC.
