This was our first time to stay in the Country Club Plaza area. It was awesome! There are tons of lodging options in the area and once your there you could walk the plaza for a ton of shopping and dining options. We will definitely be back.

Lovely shopping area with live bands on Thursday evenings. We passed 2 different bands/performers. Beautiful architecture and many, many statues/fountains. Many from local to national chains. Lots of people playing Pokemon Go

Lots of shops and restaurants. Easy to walk around the Plaza and shop or grab a snack or a meal. The only drawback during our visit was the heat and humidity, but we were able to pop in and out of air conditioned areas.

Plethora of shops, wish there was a little more local flavor. All of the shops are mid- to high-end, but the kind of stores that sometimes feel interchangeable and that you can find in most upscale malls - Anthropolgie, Banana Republic, Gap, H&M, West Elm, Urban Outfitters, Restoration Hardwear. The restaurants are similarly themed. We ate at PFChangs and it... More

Great place to enjoy night life or good day time weather. Many options for bars and restaurants. Shopping is high end here compared to other options in KC.

The Plaza area is beautiful with so many wonderful places to eat, shop, sip or just stroll. One of the "don't miss" spots in Kansas City!

Must see when lit up for Christmas but nice area of town any time of year. The retail stores are a little too high class for my taste, but there are lots of nice hotels and restaurants here. The fountains are nice also, and this is our location of choice when going out to celebrate birthday, anniversary, etc...

Although it is now home to high end, snooty chains, The Plaza was once a very egalitarian, even utilitarian, shopping destination for Kansas Citians. Alas, the bowling alley, grocery store, corner drugstore and other common locations are long gone, but the Spanish architecture, general ambiance, and most especially the Christmas lighting are one of Kansas City's premiere attractions for both... There is nothing like the Plaza anywhere else I have traveled. Fountains shops eateries...simply beautiful. KC has a 'twin city' in Spain after which the Plaza is designed. The history of how it came to be is also very interesting. We enjoyed a lovely day of browsing shops, fountain gazing, and eating delicious foods. Easy and safe area to walk... More

Has some good (but not great) restaurants. The architecture is interesting (I think it was America's first outdoor shopping center). Some of the usual chains - Gap/Banana Republic - and few high end stores. Lovely fountains around. Buildings light up around thanksgiving - quite lovely - which is a local main event.
