This has to be on the checklist for any trip to Kansas City. We've lived in Kansas City for a period in the past but every time we go back to visit we stop for a walk and bite to eat on the plaza. Whether you want BBQ, pizza or a great steak you can find it all here -... More

The history behind this piece was interesting to read. It is interesting to imagine how this piece was moved from New York to this location.

The Plaza is a beautiful historic area of the city. It offers a wide variety of dining options from casual to 5 star. It also is a hub for shopping from something as simple as chocolates to high end jewelry and clothing. The unfortunate part is that I feel safety is becoming an issue in this once comfortable district. I... More

I adore the Country Club Plaza, but years of living on the northern California Coast has made me sensitive to the heat. On the day we visited, the temperatures were in the mid-nineties, and I felt like I was having heat stroke! We ducked into Bucca di Beppo and had an early supper, emerging when it was a little cooler.... More

The Plaza used to have more small local retailers and interesting shops. It's a beautiful part of town, the architecture and streets are still pretty. I miss the less brand-namey shops

I come here about once a week or so, and I never get tired of looking at the fountains and architecture.

This is the original "open air" shopping center..the first one in the USA. It's really beautiful and truly a sight to see after Thanksgiving. They light the entire place up with colored lights on Thanksgiving night and they go off sometime end of January. Lots of great shopping and restaurants.

Our hotel was right next to this Plaza, something I didn't know when booking. Glad it was! So many dining options! We happened to be in KC on a weekend, and the summer nightlife at the Plaza is vibrant and fun. People out "cruising", street musicians, bars and restaurants hopping. Very teen friendly too; our daughter met up with some... More
