We did horseback riding here through the Hayburner Ranch. I loved that my five year old could even ride. My kids (ages 9,7, and 5) had such a great time. It was the highlight of their whole vacation and my youngest keeps on asking for a horse. It was such a beautiful trail. I loved the scenery and it was... More

We enjoyed hiking in the park and visiting the Ozark Caves. There are many trails that have lovely views , an old homestead and remnants of a castle.

we stayed at the park in our camper along with friends and their children and campers. We were a rather large group and the kids had plenty of room to ride bikes, swim, play frisbee and some ball. The deer and raccoons were abundant and made it more exciting. The kids enjoyed the program given and we all had a... More

Lake of the Ozarks State Park has all sorts of amenities for camping, boating, and relaxing. The park has two free public beaches. We went to #1. It's not really big; and the sand has the normal bits of rock and twigs. It's roped off for swimming so if you have kids it would be a great place to get... More

Close to 200 labeled campsites, some with electricity, some without. State Park prices are reasonable; our non-electric site was only $13/night. Several showerhouses and bathrooms with running water throughout the park, and the ones we used were clean and well-kept. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Camping store available that sells firewood, but we didn't visit the store, so I don't... More

We hiked the Woodlawn trail, which was rustic and in the woods. Saw deer, heard lots of birds, some unique flowers. However, when we got off the trail, we had lots of ticks on our pants! Just beware of them.

Over the holiday weekend was our first experience with this State Park. Our family was very impressed. The staff at the campground could not have been any more friendly and helpful. Especially for such a busy weekend. We used the Basic Camping but the view of the lake was great. I do wish they would offer that section a better... More

We only spent a couple of hours there just walking around and watching people swimming and boating. It wasn't crowded at all for a Sunday. Very relaxing. Walked a nice trail along the lake. They rent kayaks and canoes. Lots of picnic tables and camping spots looked real nice.

Largest State Park in Missouri. The larger section of the park is on Highway 42. This part of the park does have RV hookups and a public beach and boat ramp. The smaller section of the park is in Osage Beach off of Osage Beach Parkway. Also has a boat ramp and public beach. Lots of trails if you are... More
