The Candy House on Kentucky Street keeps the wonderful Richardson Candy House recipes alive! I went this time to get the original milk chocolate toffee for my son in Texas and the caramels for my daughter-in-law there, an assortment for my son in Colorado, as well as toffee for my aunt, Tiger Fudge for my friend and the fabulous Smoothie... A quaint little place the variety is wonderful. I has tried selections that were seasonal. Trying to see if they have a website. Though in a out of the way place...still worth the visit

A long-time tradition in the area. Too bad they could not keep it going. We will miss this in our area.

The place is hard to find, terrible location. We got there about 2:30 and as we were driving in the woman that was working there pulled up in her car and told that they were closing early and she was just leaving. Didn't even get to see the place. Don't waste your time , if you manage to find it... More

The Candy House makes all of their chocolate in house. It is the most delicious and decadent chocolate ever. I love their chocolate covered strawberries, their malted milk balls and their chocolate caramels

What can I say about the salted caramels? I guess , at the end of the day , if I had to pick between Salted Caramels and a beating, I would take the beating if it meant I could have the salted caramels...

The reason I ranked this "attraction" as three stars is because it really is just a store. We were there at 2:30 in the afternoon during the week and there was no candy being made. There are glass windows along the wall so if people are making candy, people can actually see the process. No real "tour" though. On the... More

How can chocolate rate anything but 5 stars. Candy House Chocolates are soooo good. I think their toffee is my favorite -- at least until I think about their salted caramel. Then I'm not so sure. And their turtles. How can I choose?? Try them all. Good stuff!

This is your average gourmet chocolate house. The chocolates were delicious and they give your samples. It is expensive but what can you say - it is gourmet chocolates. Look to the sale area where past holidays are on sale and you can get some great deals. I loved the chocolate covered toffee...it was awesome. My husband and nephew loved... More

My daughter and I went to Candy House Gourmet chocolates after finding it in the top things to do in Joplin on trip advisor! The people were so nice and you can watch them making chocolates right there in the window! I love good quality chocolate - and this place did not disappoint! I was able to grab some chocolate...
