Puddleduck Vineyard is a small family Tasmanian Vineyard owned by Darren and Jackie Brown. We welcome you to taste our beautiful cool climate wine at our friendly cellar door, which is open from 10 - 5 daily. Whilst here you will probably meet Polly our wine dog, or Lucky or cellar door duck. Feel free to have a "Reverse BYO" (you supply the picnic food and we supply the beverages) to enjoy while in the area.

We had driven past Puddleduck as I must admit we were put off by the name. As we had time to spare before our flight we thought we'd drop in. Staff are very friendly and attentive. We ended up staying for lunch which showcased local and some not so local Tassie produce. Note: the platters are quite generous, they are... More

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the best Pinot Noir in Tassie is at Puddleduck!! Stopping in for lunch & a tasting we were made to feel right at home. Great wine, delicious food, friendly staff, an amazing location & of course plenty of ducks - do yourself a favour!!

Yup. This is it. There's even a little playground and a picnic and sitting area in the back next to the pond. It was late in the day (post lunch) so the cellar door and restaurant was not too crowded and I got a lot of staff interaction. It really is extended family run, if that is important to you.... Although it was an overcast day with showers on and off we managed to sit outside under a large outdoor umbrella which covered the table and kept us dry. We had taken a picnic lunch and bought wine to enjoy from Puddleducks (this is required when bringing your on food - more than acceptable). The wine was lovely and the... More

I was invited to join a group of ladies for a get together and was extremely excited to go to Puddleduck Vineyard as I had heard that they had done some major renovations since my last visit a few years ago. As we entered the main entrance we could see a long line up of people paying and the three... More

After sampling their excellent wines, sit on the outer deck over looking the vineyards and pond and have a meal while watching the ducks being chased around by the family pet - you guessed it, a duck.

Puddleduck was recommended to us by local friends who were wine geeks and it didn't disappoint! Definitely a great stop if you enjoy good wine but aren't interested in massive wineries that are more of a show than good wine. The staff was quite knowledgeable and personable and also gave us some delicious recommendations for further wineries as we were... More

Love this place! Beautiful ambiance and country side setting. Great wines! My favorite was the sparkling white. Reasonably priced tasting and bottles for purchase. They encourage you to bring in your food for picnic - tables and chairs provided, as long as you order the beverage from them. Wonderful idea!

Puddleduck was the venue for my husband's surprise birthday party. Despite the weather not being terribly kind to us, our guests had the most wonderful day. We had a number of children aged between 0 - 10 in our group and they had a fantastic time playing on the play equipment and balls provided and also enjoyed feeding the ducks.... More
