Tambo Colorado is the ruins of an Incan Administrative Center. We were taken to the site by South American's Secrets when the navy cancelled boats going to Islas Ballestas. The site is over an hour drive from the San Martin port. Having seen Mayan ruins...More

Reasonably intact and interesting, but most of the rooms look very similar and there is no signage. If you don't have a guide, this might not be worth your time unless you have a good guidebook and a map of the rooms or have done...More

This is an interesting place to visit if you have a guide. The explanation of rooms and the civilization that lived here is not explained on plaques. There is a small museum next to the ruins but there isn’t enough details. Be warned it is...More

Some ten miles from the Peru Atlantic coast and from the city of Ica, this imposing ceremonial center stands. Historians and archaeologists point us it was founded by the Incas at the end of the 15th century, in a region previously controlled by the "Chincha"...More

This was a very interesting ruins to visit. It was very different from other ruins I have visited. One of the great features, is that you are allowed to walk thru and climb around all the ruins. I hope this continues, but of course that...More

Hi, you can hire a car. Tour or guide not needed, just a driver. Use a good guidebook to understand the ruins.
