Sayulita Entourage was born many years ago under the name of Sayulita Diving School. A business originally diving-oriented, led by a single enthusiastic dive instructor, we are now a group of professionals able to offer a wider range of experiences to our clients, a multi-ethnic team of individuals who share the same love and passion for the ocean and our incredible Banderas Bay. With safety always our number one priority, we run our excursions with fully licensed and fully equipped panga boats. Had a great experience getting my PADI scuba certification with Sayulita Entourage! Thank you sooooo much for a great first diving experience!!! I exchanged emails with Roberta to set everything up before arriving, she replied quickly and provided me will all the info I needed, which was really helpful. Everyone was so nice! I did my pool training with Stefan who was very knowledgeable and overall great. Jamie was my instructor for the ocean dives on both days and I cannot thank her enough for being so caring, wonderful and patient with me! She is an absolute rockstar and went above and beyond for me to have a great diving experience while fulfilling all the certificate requirements. Thank you so much, Jamie!!! Hearing how other people get certified with big companies in larger groups and barely get any one-on-one time with the instructor, I consider myself extremely lucky that we only had me getting certified and 4 snorkelers on day 1, and just me on day 2. The boat crew was awesome as well, we got super lucky to see whales which has been on my bucket list for a while, absolutely amazing!!! Being nervous first time diver, I cannot recommend Sayulita Entourage enough, I felt safe and well taken care of the entire time and everyone is really fun and friendly. I saw some amazing underwater creatures, heard whales talking to each other while diving, absolutely amazing! The lunch after the ocean dives was great as well, really like all food in Sayulita, did not have a bed meal the entire time. Thank you again for everything, I will be back to dive with you guys again!

Sayulita's Entourage's office is located about two blocks farther across the bridge. A five minute walk from the Plaza. We were picked up by cab t their office for the short twenty minute ride to Punta de Mita. Alexis met us at the "marina" to board the nine passenger about 20 foot boat. We were nervous because of the size and the simplicity of the loading method... but our nervousness was unnecessary. Edgar , our Captain, took us quickly to an area about 10 minutes from the pier and we began seeing wrestling male whales, rising and jumping, quite spectacularly. The Captain skillfully kept us close enough to see but not too close to spook the giant mammals. There were other boats around much larger and much fuller than ours, with just four of us plus Alexis our guide and the Captain. We found close to 12 whales, and one made a really huge leap nearly out of the ocean. We were only Whale Watching today (which is why we picked Entourage), and our total trip with cab ride was 1:30-4PM, perfecto! Highly recommend! And they take credit cards with a five percent extra charge.

Great time both days, Stephane and his team were awesome. We had a group of 7 people going out snorkeling and whale watching on January 24 around the Islas Marietas and the next day, 2 of us went diving, again at the Islas Marietas, both trips done with the same boat and crew, The boat captain and Manuel were running the boat and both were extremely helpful and professional.
On our drive trip on the 25th, Jamie was the divemaster, competent and enthusiastic. She really wanted us to have the best experience possible. She did a great job in explaining the what to expect, the dive plan and conditions.
Both were last minute decisions and they accommodated us, took credit cards arranged taxis and lunch. I can not say enough good things about both trips. Well Done Entourage team- thanks, Marcus

Diving in Islas Marietas was great and the dive master Jamie was super great and Roberta was a great communicator when we booked.
Although the 2 tank dives was pretty expansive. What you get is two tank dives (and the national park fee) and they offer you water on the boat, not any hot tea or fruits during your surface time. After diving they will drive you back to Sayulita and you get a two tacos lunch near the dive shop. So be prepared and bring your own snacks and drinks if you need some energy between and after the dives.
They ask you to come to the dive shop at 8.30am and then their start to pack the equipments to a car and you will wait that for 30 minutes. Then they take you to the boat at Punta Mita (20 minutes drive) and you will wait again about 30 minutes when they put the equipments to a small boat.
Even thou being on a holiday one is at no hurry but it feels just frustrating to wait things that could have been done advance.

Hi Toni, thanks for finding the time to share your experience.
We will take your advice and try to speed up a bit however there is some necessary time required to fit the divers prior the dive and paperwork to be filled and 15 min doesn't sound like the end of the world to me (30 min is a bit of exaggeration as I was there myself on that morning). This very equipment then needs to be loaded on the boat so again sometime need to be "wasted" on that too.
Also I want to point out that the pretty expensive dive of 140 USD where you weren't offered hot tea in between the dives on the contrary includes: - a very expensive taxi transportation to and from Punta de Mita - brand new equipment (5mm long wetsuit, BCD, reg, mask, fins, boots) - fees to enter the marine park - lunch at the end of the excursion (ceviche tostada, 2 tacos and beer)
An opinion is an opinion and again, thanks for sharing it as from it we learn and improve, however some objectivity would have been fair.

WE had an amazing day with this company , from booking to the time on the boat to the lunch after everything was so well taken care of. WE were taken out to see whales on the boat and our crew was exceptional. WE were told all about the natural park and snorkeling area and had a great time taking fun pictures and riding around seeing all the beautiful rock formations and caves. I would highly recommend this company for anything they do on the water.

I did the Scuba tour and enjoyed the trip and crew so much that I ended up booking snorkeling and whal watching with my girlfriend the next day.
The scuba was great, not my best diving but the crew was awesome. We ended up seeing a ton of whales the day I did my dives so that was an extra bonus.
The next day we did a snorkeling and whale watching tour. We were very lukcy with the whale watching and ended seeing so many whales that we left as everyone on board had enough. The snokeling was ok but the group leader made it very enjoyable.
I highly recommend this place.

Our family of 12, ages 3.5 to 75 spent a wonderful afternoon with the terrific staff of Sayulita Entourage on our Marietas Islands snorkeling adventure. Hector, Carlos and our skilled captain both entertained us (how did they manage to make certain the whales were so abundant and awe-inspiring?) and educated us. Their collective knowledge of the bird populations and geological features of the Marietas Islands was extensive. They kept close watch on us as we snorkeled, and each had an exceptionally great sense of humor - entertaining on our boat rides to and from the national park. Roberta was prompt and professional in responding to our initial email and subsequent organizational ones. Highly recommended.

I chose to do my Padi OWD cert with Sayulita Entourage after reading great reviews. I was on vacation and staying at a small hotel just outside of town. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this dive shop. Everything from initial contact and correspondence, to ease of the payment process, to arriving and parking at the shop, to pool training and then multiple days of dives. Every single employee I came in contact with was kind, helpful, patient, and fun! I am a woman in my late 30’s from Arizona and feeling safe was important to me as I was doing this by myself. There was not a single moment I ever felt unsafe or uncomfortable in-fact it was quite the opposite. They have a very smooth well planned and organized system getting you to and from everywhere you needed to go and had lots of available sizes for all the gear needed to get my certification. My dive instructor was Christian Hauser and he was incredibly patient with my learning process and also when I got a bit sick 🤢 never made me feel bad like I was wasting their time whatsoever, he took the time to make sure i was comfortable and proficient with all the skill checks required. Christian was VERY thorough with giving me the best underwater experience possible and it is something I will never forget! I am already planning to travel back in December to get my advanced certification and also get my two sons their OWD as well. If you are on the fence at all, just book it, you WILL NOT regret it. Another guest at my hotel was getting his padi owd cert as well and he booked through a very large tour company in the PV area and had a terrible, unfriendly, non personalized experience and wished he had gone with Sayulita Entourage instead after comparing our vastly different experiences. I cannot say enough about this trip we took to Hidden Beach/Marietas Islands! The day was fantastic! Our group of 6 (4 were teens) had so much fun! We listened to everything we were told and were prepared and when we got to the entrance to jump and swim in, it all was so fast but so much fun! The island was gorgeous and we got lucky we were the only people there for our 30 minutes. Our guide was so amazing and funny…he had us all cracking up the entire time but was so knowledgeable and thorough. We saw and experienced so much! This is a must! And Roberta was so easy to book with and communicate and also had good advice for other questions we had about our stay in Sayulita. Thank you so very much!!!!

This experience was AMAZING!! My husband and I went on a dive with this crew back in July and we were so impressed by their level of professionalism and expertise! Roberta, Stephane and Manuel were so helpful and friendly.
We loved the dives at Marietas.
Stephane was a great dive master, very knowledgeable about the area, he made sure we had everything we needed and that everyone stayed safe during the trip.
The scuba equipment was new and in great condition. We went diving with them twice and would do it again! Thank you folks!

Ella no podría hacer buceo, pero ¿sería posible que, cubriendo el costo completo de esta actividad, ella pudiera permanecer en la isla o realizar alguna otra actividad?

Hola, lo que se puede hacer es que una bucea y la otra hace snorkeling. Nada mas hay que entender que juntándose a una salida de buceo la prioridad serán los buzos y tu amiga tendrá que adaptarse a los tiempos y lugares de los buzos.

There is a group of six of us and five of us want to do snorkeling and one of us is an experienced scuba diver so he is interested in doing your scuba diving experience. Would this be possible? We still all wanted to go on the same boat for the same time and be in the same area.

Hi there,
yes it's possible however the snorkeling might be compromised a bit.
The diving locations at the Marietas Islands are by the island n1, snorkeling instead can happen by both islands.
If there is a diver on the boat the boat has to be the whole time close to the diver and, because the national park rules do not allow to drop people and leave, this means the snorkelers too will need to be by the boat the whole time.
If we go out on a snorkeling trip only we choose the best snorkeling location according the conditions of the day, we might stop by the first island or by the second one.
If there is a diver on the boat you will need to stay by the first island no matter the conditions.
We can take you to check out the beach at the second island in between the 2 dives but that will be a quick stop.
So yes we can do it but that all depends on how flexible the snorkelers are.
Another option that would give us more flexibility and would work best for diver and snorkelers is to have the diver going for 1 dive only instead of 2.
Let me know if you think this can work out and I will send you more detailed info over.

we will be visiting an 11 days to Nuevo Vallarta!! and we definitely want to whale watch, snorkel, and possibly see the Hidden Beach. do they offer a tour like this?;and if so how much?

I can not swim. Is the water shallow enough to walk or wade through when going to the hidden beach area or would a life preserver be supplied?

I would suggest not doing this if you cannot swim. You would have a life jacket but it can be rough. It would be scary.

The 3-hour snorkeling trip to the Marietas Islands costs $65 USD. I'm not sure of the cost of diving excursions, but their website may have that info as well. They were also very responsive to emails.

How far is Sayulita from Rincon De Guayabitos? Cost of transportation?
We booked a trip to Los Cocos Decameron and want to do some Whale Watching, snorkeling and diving in the Sayulita area.

Sayulita-Guayabitos is approx 30 km, and depending on traffic about 25-30 min.
There are local buses that are very inexpensive, and local taxis which I can only guess at the rate, maybe $15-20 US one way.
