Tyre, Sidon and Maghdouche Day Trip from Beirut

45 reviews
This is ideal for travelers seeking a history-focused day trip from Beirut but who want to skip any logistics or transport planning. Set out for Tyre, Sidon, and Maghdouche—three of Lebanon’s best-preserved towns—and explore them with a guide to cover and learn about their must-sees. View Tyre’s UNESCO-listed Roman relics, visit Sidon’s crusader-built castles, and see Maghdouche’s Old Cave and Al-Saydeh Ancient Church, among other highlights.

Once you step inside the museum you are traveling back to the old times. Very well decorated and maintained with professional guides. The outside shop offers a variety of soaps and bath accessories . Well recommended

First time visiting a soup museum. Gained a lot of insight on its history and soap making process. There is a shop in the museum where you can get many pretty souvenir soaps too.

This well done museum inside an old soap factory highlights the process of making soap. There is a very good coffee shop on premise as well as an expensive gift store selling soap.

This is a quite small museum, even with the (free) guided tour and watching the video at the end, it won't take you more than 30 minutes to pass through it. Still, it's interesting enough and everything is modern and well-signed in multiple languages. The guides speak both English and French well and seem to like what they do.

During our tour we visited the soap factory which is basically having a historical tour on how it started and how it was made. You get to have a guide on site to explain the process and the history of it. There is a small souvenir shop and a very expensive coffee shop (5000L.L. (3.5$ US) for a tiny lemonade glass and 3500L.L. (2.25$ US) for a Turkish coffee. Overall : not bad but not great either.
