Стратилат-римский военачальник. Святой Андрей служил в Римской армии, отличался храбростью и военными успехами. Уверовал с Иисуса Христа, за что и был убит. В память о нем и его верных воинах, соорудили этот достаточно скромный храм.

Каменный храм находится на ул.Октябрьская в микрорайоне Оргтруд. Построен в середине 19 века на деньги местного купца. Долгое время использовался не по назначению. Верующим возвращен в 2011 году.
