Good for a rainy day. Many locals have never even been inside but it's got some good information on the history of Lisburn and a coffee shop.

Enjoyed my visit to the 'linen experience ' in Lisburn yesterday. Everything was very well displayed, and brought back many happy and some smelly memories of my youth. My father grew flax and I had forgotten the smell from the lint dams. Some beautiful linen...More

What a find! This museum is very interesting and informative. They not only present displays on the production of Linen, but have spinners and weavers there to show how it is done on original equipment. The docents and staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. An...More

Wow. Our group was totally enthralled with our time at the museum. We all 'know' about Irish linen but have no idea how the wonderful fabric appears in the shops or on our family tables. The weavers and spinner were eloquent and passionate about the...More

Im not a huge textiles fan or knitting nerd but the enthusiasm of the volunteers in the Linen museum is infectious. The artefacts are fascinating and surprising. 3500 year old Linen from the most important archaeological find in history, right here in Lisburn.
