We visited on a warm September day. The abbey’s church was just magnificent, every sq cm is decorated. We were alone in the church.
The restaurant opened at 12 noon and we enjoyed a wonderful beer brewed by the abbey, yes it was heaven.

Most abbeys are packed with visitors and therefore are visited and treated as muséums, loosing their authenticity and religious signification.
Saint Michel de Frigolet,is far from the madding crowd and the site, on the hill of the ´´Montagnette ´´ is beautiful.
